They're doing a lot of things right here. I like Domenico who was my server. The hostess/cashier was very nice as well. It's worth noting that you pay the hostess on your way out instead of waiting for the check to arrive at the table. It's also worth noting that they have a German/English menu either upon request or in my case, they just brought it to me. Apparently, everyone in Europe takes one look at me and thinks I'm from Ireland, or so I hear. Either way, I appreciate that they have a menu in English. I had the Diavolo pizza. In America we would call this a pepperoni pizza but here in Europe it's called "spicy salami". When I went to order the tiramisu for dessert, Domenico relayed to me that this was an excellent choice. He wasn't kidding. The pizza and the tiramisu were both quite good and I recommend them both.

Persönlich fand ich es etwas schade, dass viele Gerichte – ob Vorspeisen, Nudelgerichte oder Pizza – einen starken Fokus auf Fleisch hatten. Bei der Bestellung entschied ich mich für eine Pizza-Variation, die ich so noch nicht kannte, bat aber darum, den Parmaschinken wegzulassen. Positiv überrascht hat mich der Kellner, der sofort reagierte und mir eine vegetarische Alternative anbot. Ich nahm dankend an und wurde nicht enttäuscht: Statt der Fleischsorte wurde gegrilltes Gemüse sowie verschiedene Käsesorten verwendet – eine geschmacklich hervorragende Kombination! Überhaupt war der Service außergewöhnlich aufmerksam und freundlich. Hier könnten sich viele Servicekräfte eine Scheibe abschneiden! Man fühlte sich als Gast wirklich willkommen und gut betreut. Auch die Speisen meiner Begleitung waren durchweg lecker, die Preise absolut angemessen und die Qualität hervorragend. Leider bin ich nicht aus der Gegend und war nur zu Besuch in Stuttgart, aber sollte ich wieder in der Nähe sein, würde ich definitiv noch einmal vorbeischauen – vor allem, um die vegetarischen Nudelgerichte und die vielfältigen Vorspeisen zu probieren. Fazit: Auch wenn das äußere Erscheinungsbild nicht sofort überzeugt, handelt es sich hier um eine echte Empfehlung. Authentisch italienische Küche, großartiger Service und eine angenehme Atmosphäre – weiter so! Bis zum nächsten Mal!

Update 1.11.2019: wir haben es nicht bereut nochmals zu kommen: von der Sonderkarte 2 × Tartar mit überraschendem Wachtelei bestellt. Zum Hauptgang einmal Pizza umd wieder die Linguine mit Vongole. Und zum Abschluss gab es Birne eingelegt in Barolo mit Blattgold überzogen. Alles heute wunderbar! Top abgeschmeckt! Und superschön angerichtet! Super finden wir, dass zu der regulären festen Speisekarte wirklich feine und abwechslungsreiche Gerichte über die Zusatzkarte angeboten werden. Preis-Leistung absolut angemessen. 3 Sterne Bewertung: Wir können uns den vielen guten Bewertungen leider nicht anschließen. Vielleicht hatten wir aber auch nur Pech... der kleine Salat als Vorspeise war nicht wirklich frisch und knackig. Dazu noch inkl. Der Rohkost komplett ohne Dressing. Man erhält zwar eine Menage mit Öl und Balsamico, aber Italien bietet so leckere Dressings... die Pizza war echt toll belegt. Leider nicht heiss. Bei den Linguine mit Venusmuscheln waren leider nicht die erwarteten kleinen Venusmuscheln dabei. Die Nudeln auch manchmal verklebt und daher sehr, sehr bissfest. Trotz allem fanden wir, dass sich hier sehr viel Mühe gegeben wird und es lediglich an der Umsetzung gefehlt hat. Positiv erstaunt hat uns, dass auch im Außenbereich die Tische mit weissen Tischdecken und Stoffservietten eingedeckt werden. Wir werden trotzdem mal wieder kommen und erneut unser Glück versuchen. Denn von einem schlechten Tag möchten wir nicht auf die gesamte Speisenqualität schließen...

We've been here a couple times already as it's a place close by to get together with friends. It's honestly a bit pricey for being a Vereinsgaststätte and for the quality of the food. Wasn't a fan of the pizza I got; the flavor was bland, it was lacking sauce, and the olives just tasted burned. The garlic in the spaghetti aglio y olio was overcooked and bitter. At one point when politely questioning an item on our bill that we didn't order, the server rudely snatched the receipt out of my husband's hand and said "you know what that is". 🤨 Very strange.

I will say that the minestrone soup and tiramisu are fantastic, though. Pizza bread...

A friend of mine, brought me here two weeks ago. Not only was I blown away by the food, but the service was fantastic too. The servers where knowledge and eager to make it a great experience for us. Since I enjoyed the restaurant so much, I had to bring my co-workers the following week. Three hours before our dinner, I was able to make a reservation for 12. The experience this second time was just the same. Great food and we were truly taken care of. It's a great place for a quiet meal for two or for a bigger party. Being close to Kelley Barracks and SI Suites was just an additional bonus. Looking forward to...
