Taverna bei Kosta — Restaurant in Stuttgart

There was not service today 19th of May. We waited for ordering a bit. This is normal, restaurant was quite full even though the responsible person taking orders stated that most of the people already eaten. We asked to be provided with a small food for our 1 year old kid and for us we ordered the mixed fish place for 2 people (the latter was ca. 60€). Unfortunately after ordering, each step during service had to be asked few times. They gave the food for the kid to another table and it came to us at the end, when we almost finished our food. We had to ask the bread several times because they gave salads and Tzatziki without that. Also, by paying 60€ for the mixed plate, I really was expecting something more. The dish was: rice, vegetable, 2 pieces of fried pangasius (why not get sea ​​bream or sea bass with that price is a mystery), quite big amount of sardines (which are cheap), 4 or 6 big long shrimps, 3 pieces of fried squid each. At this price, was expecting something grilled too. Everything was fried a part the shrimps. Service was terrible. We told this to them but they replied that when the restaurant is full we need to wait. Actually no complaints about waiting time but a bit attention to the service because without providing the right food or things at the right time, the costumer spends money and time without enjoying the experience. I feel we run after them rather than have a relaxed lunch today. This...

The location was good, Food was ok and service was bad. The food came 5-10mins after we ordered and a salad came before. However, after we started eating, the waitress came every 5mins to ask if we were finished eating and at some point we were set under pressure to just say yes we are done eating because we thought they wanted us to be done quickly. It was 18:00 Summer evening and the restaurant was empty. I did not even finish my salad or meal. It was a shame that half of our food was thrown while we wanted to eat. Also, we held the salad plate back to eat later but they grabbed it...

If you want a Family friendly Place to eat; this is it! Waiting time is between 36-45 minutes, but the salad is brought ahead, so you can eat it separately if you wish. The wait is worth it, unless your children are desperately hungry - they might eat the salad ahead if you order a meal including one. Children menu available ( drinks cost extra).
