There are many great things about this hotel and I definitely do recommend it, but you should be aware of what you're getting and I cannot in good conscious give it five stars. ||||The hotel is located in a very quiet town spitting distance from the Abbey, which is probably why you're interested in the area in the first place. There is easy drive-up, it has its own parking, and a wonderful restaurant (see my separate review of that, which does merit five stars). We had a spacious room, which was nice. ||||Unfortunately, the mattresses on the beds were too soft. This didn't bother me too much, but it was a definite issue for my partner. So depending on whether you are sensitive to such things, you should keep that in mind. Also, there was no one at the reception when we arrived so we were a bit at a loss as to how to get in. We arrived at about 4:30pm so not an unheard of hour for hotel guests to arrive. There is a side door to the hotel and a main door to the restaurant, a distinction that is not obvious at first. We settled on trying the bell again at the side door and finally someone unlocked the door and let us in. We then had to take the narrow stairs and winding hallways to our room. I would not have liked to navigate to a hotel in old town with all its pedestrian streets and steep inclines. If you're okay with soft mattresses, you will likely enjoy this place.||||Note that street parking, which can be super convenient to the hotel entrance, requires a parking permit from the hotel. They'll give this to you free of charge, but be sure to get that before you...

It is small so there is not much to do, but it is a nice place to stay for 1-2 nights. In the village there is a great restaurant "Waldhorn" (one star Michelin), very recommendable, great food and great service and atmosphere!||||Hotel standard:||The hotel is small, but very nice, nice decor.||Rooms are simple and relatively small, but nice and comfortable - I would say very good 4 star level. They have an individual touch, charming, fitting well to this countryside envvironment||Staff is OK, service varying from friendly to "dry".||Restaurant is good, breakfast is very good as well, excellent bread.||||Overall a nice place to spend a short weekend enjoying good food and some nice sightseeing. For me the best choice in this area, with lots of charme.||||Btw: Tübingen is close by car, and it is a pretty city with a very...
