ému — Restaurant in Traben-Trarbach

Having lived in Japan for many years and now in Germany, our family was so excited to find this small Japanese restaurant. It was super authentic, truly like being back in Japan. The ramen was full of rich umami, the karaage was perfectly crispy, and the takoyaki was chewy and delicious, just like in Japan. The ume soda was refreshing and spot-on, and the mochi eis and matcha eis were wonderful, exactly as we remembered. This place is one of the top spots we’ve found in Germany for authenticity and they made our holiday in Traben Trarbach extra memorable...

This was the best ramen I’ve ever tasted! It was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The meat and the egg were cooked with perfection. The server was very friendly and the service was fast. The gyoza were fresh and plump. The calamari was delicious and came with a flavorful dipping sauce. The restaurant is decorated nicely, is very clean and spacious. This will be my go to spot to eat Asian food...

It was nice to get some authentic Japanese ramen. The noodles were cooked right, the chāshū (pork belly in the noodles)was thick and soft, the egg was perfectly jammy. Honestly tasted like a something you’ll come across on the outskirts of Tokyo. We had some Karaage and Gyoza too. The Karaage came with wasabi mayonnaise and the Gyoza, a spicy miso sauce. Both were great but I recommend the Karaage...
