Gasthaus Wollscheid — Restaurant in Trier

We stayed with our two daughters in the family apartment, there are two separate rooms with a bathroom and a small kitchen. Everything was brand new and very clean. There should be free wifi, but even with the help of the hotel staff we did not manage to log on. Also it was strange that of the 3 lamps in the main bedroom only one lamp worked(the staff member noticed this too, but did not offer to change the bulb.. We missed in the rooms a mirror, there was only one in the bathroom. Bathroom was clean but quite small and the shower was without a curtain so that the whole bathroom became wet. There were however enough towels to dry everything. The dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were good and inexpensive. The location is in a suburb of Trier, not close to the city center. The lack of wifi and not working of lamps...

Ein langjähriger Kunde weniger - vielen Dank Mein Erlebnis Anfang April 24 in Worte gepackt... ich habe die Küche vom Gasthaus Wollscheid lange Jahre (über 30) als sehr gut empfunden und das HAUSGERICHT - die Frikadelle mit frischen Pilzen und Zwiebeln, einer leckeren Soße, Pommes und einem kleinen Salat lieben gelernt.

Es hat sich im Lauf der Jahre als echter Preis-Leistungs-Sieger - auch bei meinen Kollegen - etabliert und war mit Preisen um 10,- (zuletzt 2020: 10,90) ausgeschrieben. Gestern Abend dann ein Blick in die Karte und dort schlug dann DER KLASSIKER mit 15,90 zu Buche - ok, das entspricht einer 45%igen Steigerung gegenüber 2020 - ist dann halt so.

Die Bedienung - ein Student, seit drei Monaten als Aushilfe beschäftigt - gab dann weiter zu Protokoll, dass die Pilze 'aus' wären und es sich bei DEM KLASSIKER auch NUR um eine Frikadelle mit BRATENSOSSE handele - ok, auch gebongt und dennoch bestellt, der Geschmack und die Größe haben es noch immer rausgerissen. Meinem Kollegen war das zu wenig und er hat sich die Frikadelle mit Zigeunersoße bringen lassen (Zigeunerschnitzel kostet in gleicher ‚Ausstattung‘ 18,90).

Die Frikadellen wurden nach 20 Minuten serviert – hmmm… das war auch schon mal wesentlich üppiger. Ok, der Hunger ist nicht allzu groß - es wird schon reichen. Dem Kollegen hat meine Bratensoße besser als seine Zigeunerausführung gefallen und somit haben wir getauscht. Der Geschmack war ok, es wird ja überall gespart, ist man ja gewohnt.

„Die Rechnung bitte“ – macht dann 22,40. „Wie bitte? Rechnen Sie doch mal nach – Viez zu 2,50 und 15,90 für die Frikadelle macht 18,40…“ Die Aushilfe gibt dann erneut zu Protokoll, dass sie erst drei Monate hier ist, die Zigeuner-Fertig-Soße mit 4,- Zuschlag berechnet wird und auch der Verzicht der obligatorischen Bratensoße keine Minderung zulässt, er mache die Preise nicht… „Aber die Frikadelle kostet dann sogar 1,- mehr als das Zigeunerschnitzel…“ – ja, da könne er auch nix dran machen und wünscht noch einen schönen Abend. Mahlzeit – mit diesem Laden habe ich fertig. Das Essen ist überteuert, die Portionen rationiert und der Geschmack gutes Mittelfeld. Ein Kunde weniger – vielen Dank, werte Wollscheids. War immer...
