Review: We initially came because of the beautiful photos online and high ratings . As a non-german speaking American in Germany for business, this restaurant was somewhat intimidating to come to. The space is certainly popular with locals and was less inclined to have an English menu (not a huge deal but worth noting).
The food itself was delicious and portions were generous. We've been to Vietnam before and were pleasantly surprised to see so many unique options here. The Bun Cha La Lot came with a delicious variety of herbs and the the meat rolls were tasty (not overly salty or spiced). The crispy duck was cooked well (AKA not dry) and was served with rice and morning glory in a type of broth. I would say the food was a nice diversion from the heavier Bavarian options in the region.
The service however left me wanting more. I understand they are busy and would prefer to cater to locals who are more likely to return as regular patrons. However, there was a significant delay in placing orders and general lack of attention which made the checkout process even more uncomfortable when they couldn't accept our cards (payment restriction not factored into overall service rating)
All in all, is the food good? Yes. But I think there are other restaurants in the area with equally good food and better service.

Everything I tried here was absolutely delicious, to the point that I was honestly surprised. The cocktails are at a very good price, too, and you'd easily pay 30% more for the main courses for less quality in Munich.
My personal favorite was the Bo Xao Xa Ot - incredibly rich and complex flavors, just the right amount of spice, and surprisingly roasty. The chicken curry was phenomenal as well.
Next time, I'll gladly try the classic Pho and wrap-your-own summer rolls just to see how...
Read moreThe food was very delicious, the menu seems to be endless. The placed was crowed. Just a few parking slots in front of the building which are always occupied - so in reality no parking nearby available.
Prices are at the higher end.
However the service was very poor. Beverages and food wasn’t brought to our table but handed to us underneath the bar shelf. After we have ordered no one ever showed up at our table again to ask for more drinks or anything else. The dirty plates weren’t removed before the next course was „served“ underneath the shelf… absolutely not acceptable for a restaurant...
