Sorry to say so, but this was the worst gastronomic experience ever☹️!!! First of all, the waitress serving us was so rude, unfriendly and unwelcoming. We understood that it was not her shift and she had to replace her brother, still I expect a friendly and professional service nevertheless. You cannot treat guests like this NOWHERE. The table next to us left after they had asked friendly if they could place their order and the waitress answered in a annoyed manner NO!!!! Well, we should have left too at that moment.... . I have visited 🇮🇳 India many times, I am also a chef 👩🍳 myself and I had high hopes to try this restaurant and experience some authentic Indian food. Unfortunately, the food was a total disappointment. Terrible and totally over priced. We ordered the appetizer platter, which was a plate of boring deep fried veggies. No creativity, no colours, no freshness. The garlic nan was some kind of garlic bread and definitely store bought and not homemade. The palak paneer was definitely off and not digestible and should have not been served at all. The rice was ok. Portions were very small and extremely expensive. This disastrous experience costed us 74 Euro. . Almost forgot, we had the worst Chai ever. In addition, I ordered a rose wine and was served a red wine. After my complaint that this is not a rose, I was told by the waitress, NO IT IS. This is my rose🍷 (photo attached). . To sum it up: the combination of rude service, over pricing and very mediocre food, only leads to one conclusion: Never again!!! Don't go there. Highly...
Read moreA very cozy and warm Indian restaurant located in a quite place. The ambiance is really nice and welcoming and leaves no room for complains. After reaching the place at around 18:40. We had to wait around 40 minutes on our table without any kind of service. Finally since our kids were really getting hungry and restless we had to request the owner to take our order and also for some quick snacks. Again after a very very long waiting time we were finally served our food. The food was pretty ok. The starters were very oily. We did find the gravys to be a bit watered down and on the thinner and not so spicy side. But the owner mentioned that this resembles typical home cooked food, something I cannot confirm since I have not had homemade North Indian food. The quality of the lamb pieces and prawns was really nice. The naan was definitely not a traditional naan and resembled more like a pizza bread. We had ordered a Veda platter for one but we were wrongly served a platter for two. Ideally I would have expected to be charged only for our order but unfortunately this was not the case. One thing I should mention though that the owner and his sister seemed like really nice people. Towards the end the owner also acknowledged the delay in the service due to unexpected number of guests ( the place was indeed full) and also offered us some mango lassi. I would not mind giving this place a second chance sometime mid week when it might be a bit calm. Overall I must say that this particular experience was not fulfilling and did leave a lot of...
Read moreI had a wonderful dining experience at Restaurant Veda, an Indian-style restaurant that truly delivers on authenticity and flavor. I enjoyed the Chicken Tula Masala, served sizzling hot on a cast iron skillet—tender, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. It came with a side of fragrant basmati rice, beautifully presented in a traditional brass bowl. The rich yellow curry sauce was served separately, allowing me to customize each bite.
The appetizer was equally impressive—hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. The garlic naan was served in a bread bowl, warm and pillowy, perfect for scooping up every bit of sauce. I sipped on a chilled mango lassi, which was fresh, creamy, and the perfect complement to the spices of the meal.
Before the main course, I was served a crispy, spicy cracker topped with sesame seeds—an unexpected but delightful touch. For dessert, I had a refreshing mango yogurt sprinkled with sweet raisins, followed by a strong cup of espresso to keep me alert for the drive home.
From start to finish, every detail was thoughtful, and every bite was delicious. I highly recommend Restaurant Veda to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable Indian...
