After a perfect holiday with my wife and our 2 year old baby, we stopped at this facility to use the toilet and drink coffee on the way back at 19:00 on 26/05/24. After buying a few things, my wife went to the toilet with our child. But she soon returned. The baby changing room was locked. We asked the cashier at the desk where we had bought before how we could get in. He said he would give us the keys, but we would have to pawn our passports. We told him that these were personal documents and that we could only give them to the police. At this point he asked for our car keys. Of course we refused again. We said that this request was absurd. At this point he rudely told us that his English was not good and that he only spoke German, he began to list the languages he did not know in a derogatory way. Then he said something like "you are unknown to us". Meanwhile, he would occasionally turn to the other employee next to him and grin sarcastically. My wife and I stood there breathless, shocked. I said I wanted to speak to the manager and the answer was negative. I didn't want anything more to do with this person. But at the point, this person probably thought the situation would escalate, so he gave us the keys, but again in a rude way. We refused to use the baby changing room. I explained the situation to the other two staff in the restaurant. They apologised to us on behalf of this person and his behaviour. They had a phone call with their manager. They then gave us the excuse that there might have been a misunderstanding because the person's English was poor. I told them firmly that the language barrier was no excuse for such rude behaviour. We were polite and reasonable from beginning to end. We did not deserve this attitude. They offered us things like coffee and dessert. We refused and left. The interesting thing is that they also said it was normal for them to ask for a passport. I've travelled to dozens of countries in my life and I've never seen such a ridiculous procedure just to get into a changing room. Another interesting thing is that the employee said that there had been many complaints about this person. So why does this person with his unprofessional, hostile attitude work in such a place? After a perfect holiday he ruined our mood and made my wife cry. I have been living in Germany for 1.5 years and this was by far the most unfortunate and shameful encounter I have ever had with an individual. I hope he finds mental health and inner peace in the future. I feel sorry for him. I gave 1 star, beacuse it is not possible...
Read moreCheap Parking at €10 for 24 hours ,however you cannot pay with DKV. NOT the friendliest of staff either. Washing facilities not accessible to commercial drivers due to the fact that the door to the showers and washbasins needs the shower key to be opened.Showers cost €4.So for a morning wash you're forced to pay 70 cents and wash in the public toilets. Have the feeling the only reason they're still in business is that they're one of the only Autohof's in that region of Germany. Food is decent enough, though before have had problems with them honoring Eurorastpark vouchers from other establishments around Germany. One waiter refused my voucher of €12.50 from Euro Rastpark Waldlaubersheim, stating that they don't accept vouchers with uneven numbers, like 0.50 cents on the end!! All in all definitely not one of my favourite Autohofs in Germany. As a final comment. You also need to be parked up by 18.30 - 19.00hrs.due to limited space. Mind you, that could be said of most German...

As a user one shouldn't be frightened by the signs indicating it's a private parking space and threatening visitors of huge fines... It's Germany... But then if they don't want to have cars they should close the entire area and make it...
