Found this place via google maps during furniture shopping - and I’m glad we did!!! The outside may not look so welcoming, but don’t judge the food by the building.
The food is amazing! Perfectly cooked and seasoned - if I am ever in the area, I will definitely be coming back again. We came around 14:45 so it is not the typical lunch hour. We had to wait a bit for the food, but that is ok because the food was made to order and fresh. During our wait, we we given a tahini based dip with flat bread. The food plating was also very eye catching. Afterward we were also given a homemade small creamy dessert.

Overall, a great experience. The dim lighting created a cozy atmosphere, with interior decor designed to evoke Middle Eastern (Syrian) aesthetics. The staff was very friendly and helped us choose the best dishes from the menu. We appreciated the thoughtful gesture of being treated to a fattoush salad, one of the best I’ve ever had.

Wir wollten gute Freunde mit etwas besonderem Beeindrucken und hatten im Palmyra einen Tisch reserviert (3 Wochen vorher). Wir waren pünktlich da und haben uns gefreut wie Kinder. Aus der Küche roch es schon herrlich. Das war aber auch schon alles. "Reservierung ?" Ungläubige Blicke. "Haben wir keine". Tisch bekommen haben wir trotzdem. Restaurant war halbvoll. Nach 10 Minuten bekommen wir die Karte. Nach 1 Stunde die Getränke. In diesem Zeitraum sind bereits 3 weitere Tische gegangen, die noch nicht mal die Karte bekommen haben. Nach 2 Stunden hatten wir noch nicht mal die Vorspeisen.
Nach 2 Stunden und 30 Minuten hatten wir bei unserem Lieblingsgriechen die Getränke, die Vorspeise und den Hauptgang.
Das Makabere an der Sache ist aber. Die Landsleute der Cheffin, die nach uns kamen und sich an 4 weitere Tische verteilt hatten, bekamen in diesen 2 Stunden reichhaltig gedeckte Tische, wie im Märchenland. Ausrede der Cheffin "Sie verstehen bitte. Diese Menschen fasten und jetzt Hunger" Ernsthaft. Sie bevorzugen Ihre Landsleute auf die Kosten anderer Gäste ? Alles klar.
