We stayed for two nights at the Buergerstube Hotel in Sasbach Our room was in the converted old railway house opposite the original hotel|The temperature was up to 360C with no air conditioning, thus requiring the electric fan to be on constantly.|There was no tea / coffee available in the room.|We can’t comment on the meals as we dined elsewhere including the brilliant wine festival that weekend.|We didn’t use the TV so can’t comment on the coverage, however the wi-fi and internet were fine.|Standard continental breakfast, yoghurt with fruit, selection of breads, cold meats & cheeses plus a boiled egg.|No attempt after the first night to tidy the room /beds.|The staff were more than helpful...

Read moreVery nice dinner experience. Complimentary salad and zucchini soup which were both delicious. I had the pork medallions as a main course, good flavors and nicely presented. A healthy portion of homemade spätzle was served as a side. Everything was nice, generous portion sizes too. Chocolate mousse with raspberry sorbet and fresh berries was good.
Overall pretty good, especially for the price. Not fine dining, but solid food in a nice atmosphere.
The owner should consider bringing in some more wines from other parts of the Kaiserstühl! A bit one-sided with mostly cooperative wine and one or two local wineries represented. The potential here is very high, hope they expand...
