Helpful staff in a lovely setting this guesthaus has all you need. Cozy well appointed rooms in the small village of Ehrenkirchen. Close to the church and vineyards there is much to do in this part of the world from cycling to mountain walking. The guest house is modern and the quiet. We had the room with balcony and it was great. We are on one occasion which was nice and food local to this part of Germany. My only issue was they did not do breakfast. Saying that they only offer one double room or an apartment. There is a great bakery nearby that does nice...

Divido la valutazione essenzialmente su due punti. Il menu/servizio ed il conto finale. Sulla qualità dei piatti e di come si viene serviti nulla da eccepire. Cibo buono, con una proposta diversa dall'offerta culinaria tipica dei ristoranti classici del circondario. Sul prezzo e sulla furbata del cameriere al momento del conto, invece, molto da ridire. Siamo stati a cena in due nel periodo tra Natale e san Silvestro e al momento dell' ordinazione abbiamo dovuto optare, non sapendolo prima, per piatti singoli scelti dai 3 menù proposti per il periodo festivo (carne/pesce/ vegetariano). Quindi nessun menu alla carta. Ma pur avendo scelto, in due, un antipasto ed un piatto principale, alla fine abbiamo pagato più di un intero menù. Vedere scontrino per credere. Se il menù intero più caro (quello di pesce) costa 65€ circa, come si può pagare il solo piatto di pesce più di 43€? E due quartini di vino quanto una discreta bottiglia? Di sicuro colpa nostra che, seguiti e consigliati dal cameriere, non siamo stati a chiedere dettagli dei prezzi. Peraltro, avevo chiesto un solo assaggio di una grappa locale, ci è stato servito un secondo bicchierino senza averlo richiesto, pensavamo – erroneamente – che ci venisse offerto... Per dirla tutta, forse dovevamo farci precisare ogni dettaglio, alla maniera teutonica. Peccato, una più che buona esperienza culinaria rovinata da un cattivo gesto del cameriere...
