We had the pleasure of spending two nights at this great little inn. Booked a Family Room (queen bed plus a separate room with bunk-beds and en-suite bath) via booking.com for our driving trip through the Alsace region. The room was comfortable and while not terribly large, had plenty of space for us (Mom, Dad, and 25-year old daughter) to relax. The building itself is quite old, but is in very good condition and feels modern inside. Fairly recent renovations make for a very comfortable and cozy stay.||Janice served a nice breakfast each morning and, as we were the only guests in the house, spent a lot of time visiting with us while we ate. She is very friendly and made us feel right at home, going out of her way to accommodate our schedule and providing hints & recommendations on things to see & do, places to eat, etc. She & Fabian speak English very well, and communications were smooth (lucky for us, because my German is shamefully bad). ||This is a bit off the beaten path, but that is exactly what we were looking for. Its location made for a great base for our travels to Strasbourg, Colmar, and Eguisheim (which you NEED to visit, by the way), France; Breisach and Freiberg, Germany; and Basel, Switzerland. Oberrimsingen itself is a quaint little town; we drove around but didn't really explore.||They didn't bother me (although others more sensitive might disagree) but the church bells that ring from across the street. They chime regularly during the day and evening, but my recollection is that they were silent between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM. ||Free wi-fi is available, but I had some issues with signal strength inside the room; guessing we were somewhat remote from the router.||All in all, we could not have been happier with our choice of lodging - VERY nice people and a comfortable &...

Read moreIt was a great place. I really enjoyed staying there. The owners of the hotel/Gasthaus were very friendly. I really enjoyed talking with them. They had a very funny dog. The hotel was pretty clean. I really liked the traditional atmosphere of the building and the restaurant. There were beautiful flowers on each window which added to the beauty of the place. The breakfast was really delicious especially the...
