Gorgeous place. Everything about the hotel itself was exactly what I expected. The food was phenomenal. Unfortunately, I came down with a nasty cold that put a damper on my first 2 days here, but the staff were kind enough to assist. The bartender sent up a kettle with some green tea and honey, so I could make a cup when I needed it, rather than have to go downstairs. That really helped. The waitress recommend a soup that would help me feel better, which was a beef broth with pancake strips in it. I had that twice and will be talking about it for years to come... soooo good!! Everything we ate there was fantastic. I loved the outdoor patio and it was packed with people every night. It's about a 10-minute walk to the town centre (and a scenic walk, at that). It's in a beautiful and quiet neighbourhood. The only complaint we had is that the hostess/inn keeper was sometimes quite short with us and we got the impression that we were bothering her. We're not sure if she just had a dark sense of humour or if she meant to come across that way. Regardless, it was a great place to stay and I would definitely return and...

It is a nice place to stay in Bad Toelz: it is slightly out side of down, a couple of hundred meters from the Isar river.||Upstairs you will find the rooms, simple, comfortable... Everything is of good quality and you will have a more than decent place to stay. ||Downstairs you will have the restaurant and it is worth staying there. It is a tasty interpretation of local dishes and some nice creations. |It would be perfect if the portions were not Bavarian size: you could feed a whole platoon. Too much is simply too...
