I understand the comments about the unfriendly service. Sometimes I had the feeling the service tried to be funny, but did not quite manage and the comments they made came across root. I usually explain this with cultural differences, because I can’t possibly believe that a restaurant staff is intentionally not nice to their guests. Also the Restaurant was full and you saw that the service was very stressed and did not even take time to properly note down the order. As soon as you needed a second to think, they turned around on their heel. We had no reservation and therefore got a very bad spot right next to the door and everybody had to squeeze by us to get to their seats. We ordered Salad, which was super oily. But the vegetables seemed very fresh and they added some shaved fennel on top, which gave the salad a nice touch. The absolute highlight was the free of charge focaccia, which came with each order of salad. It had a nice combination of herbs on top. For a main dish we ordered Pizza and Pasta. The Pizza was quiet small, but with the salad before sufficient for a dinner. The Pizza dough was nice and crunchy. The Seafood topping though was really, really bad. It tasted like very old fish. I assume it came out of a can and was not properly rinsed before it joined forces with my Pizza. They added some fresh Salmon, which was good, but could not make up for or cover the old seafood taste. Price for the Pizza was 11,50 Euro. The Pasta was nice, but did not meet the expectations. When you order Pasta Arrabiata, the sauce is supposed to be spicy, but it was a standard tomato sauce (sweet). After asking, they brought some additional chili, which actually was spicy (not always the case when you are at Italian restaurants). Price for the Pasta was 12,50. Overall my resume is that the prices at this restaurant are way too high for the quality they serve. To charge 12,50 Euro for a plane Tomato Sauce Pasta dish is not even close to be fair. If you like to eat Pasta or Pizza, there are better places around. I can’t judge the meat and fish dishes. They at least looked nice on the neighbor table. I give...
Read moreWe had dinner here last night with a family of four. Although the food was fine, the overall experience certainly was not. We felt very unwelcome from the moment we arrived. The waiter (and owner I assume) didn’t listen to our order properly, was rude and unfriendly. When the bill came they charged us an extra pizza. When we pointed this out there was no apology. We were also charged an extra 6 euro for focaccia which we assumed came with the antipasto as we had not ordered any focaccia. When I wanted to pay with card I got a sigh and a rolling of the eyes that he had to get the card reader. We asked him if we did something wrong but he said that he just didn’t have time. It felt like we were in Fawlty Towers. Weird. It seemed he was annoyed that we were...
Read moreRACIST behaviour. I was there with few colleagues for dinner. Both the managers were super racist and they were just not pleased to have us there. I heard the same story from other foreigner colleagues and they share similar views. I thought maybe the place deserves a fair chance so I went anyway. When I politely asked to be seated, one of the service guy said : “Ausweis bitte” (ID please)? Then while having dinner the waiter was super nice to other locals but rude to us. To my surprise, one of the waiter, did not even ask my colleague what he wants to eat and rather brought some vegetarian pasta which he didn’t even order, saying “you can eat this”. I strongly suggest to look for better places to eat if you don’t want to be racially discriminated. Thanks...
