One of my favourite hotels in the world, probably because it is family owned and not part of some faceless chain. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed, and the standards of décor and maintainance first class. I'd like bathtubs, but they only have showers, however the shower cubicles are large and luxurious and the water hot and plentiful. The staff are some of the best I have ever come across (although there is no help with carrying bags up the spiral staircase). The rooms were comfortable and clean with a well-stocked mini bar that came in use after a long day of travelling.||||I can't say much about the location other than the town itself seems small and quiet but I did have a great run along the river behind the hotel.||||I ate in the restaurant in the evening, in the garden no less since the weather was nice. The beer was good and the food was typically german and tasted good. The restaurant seemed popular with the locals which is always a good sign.||||The breakfast was typically of breakfasts throughout Europe with a selection of cold meats, fruits, cereal and eggs and bacon. The coffee was good and plentiful.||||In my limited interactions with the staff they were professional and one gentleman at reception even looked like Ted Danson. I know not necessarily important to the quality of the hotel but I feel it is an important point...
