UPDATE- All of the below still stands, with the exception of when they happen to have a large party or event when you are there. We were told by the server that it may take a while for us to get our food (approximately 45 minutes) due to a large party. I didn't see any extra people at the restaurant and the parking lot wasn't packed (not to say their upstairs wasn't packed) so we said what the heck- we're not in a rush, let's enjoy the evening. 45 minutes isn't too bad. Over 2 hours later, no food, server barely came by to update us, the sun's gone down and our toddler is starving. I've never had an experience like that so I'm sure it's not typical, but it was a bit excessive. When our food did come, some was missing. Some of the sides were wrong. If someone at our table hadn't hunted the waitress down I don't think we would ever have gotten our food. I'll still go, but I'll be sure they don't have an event going on.
A good, consistently yummy German meal. I've come here several times for business and leisure. It's become "the place" we bring friends/family who visit and want a taste of German food. The schniztels never disappoint, and the other items on the menu are hard to beat. Good value (priced well). Friends also enjoy the beer here (I'm not a drinker, but I hear it's nice). The service and staff are always friendly and very responsive. It's obvious that they are used to catering to Americans because the food comes out a bit faster than you might find at other German restaurants. But to be frank, sometimes we just want a "quicker" dining out experience like we're used to in the states, with good food, and we get that here. We'll be coming back again during our time here in...
Read moreThe Beer Brewed in the onsite micro brewery! We will be back to try the white beer and the seasonal brews that they make.
The dark (dunkel) beer is amazing, malty smooth but also light to drink with a slightly sweet malt taste as you sip it!
The Food We had the Brewer Style" Schnitzel breaded with Malt with homemade dark beer gravy and fried potatoes , I recommend trying this one it is really good and the pork they use is very good! Visiting here The resteraunt has just opened up again and is obviously a local favorite as we were lucky to get a table without booking a table, so make sure to book ahead to avoid disappointment. *They spoke english so dont be afraid if your german is slightly lacking they are friendly There is a small carpark, which again gets busy!
The staff We were greeted and given a table (which was lucky) pretty fast considering how busy it was. They even understood my boken german, and switched in to english just to confirm what I ordered.
We will be back here again and will make use of the option to buy some of the delicious beer(check the website there are...
Read moreWe visited today from the U.S. and I must say, what a wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and understanding of our language barrier. Most of the staff, however spoke varying degrees of English and gave us an English menu. The food was outstanding, and goodness, there is A LOT of it! But wow was it served quickly and no sooner did we pay our check did they have it packaged to go and in a bag! I had the stuffed cabbage and mashed potatoes and my boyfriend had the chicken salad. Being that are nerves were just at the beginning of settling in and trying to be sure we are respecting the culture and norms of beautiful Germany, we were not able to eat as much as we normally would, but if you are ever in Germany, you won't go wrong by stopping here. Also, the jovial atmosphere of watching the locals toast with there mugs of beer then heartily enjoy their meals was no cool to see. Thank you for this wonderful expense and your hospitality to a visitor to your...
