Il Piatto - Pizzeria Trattoria — Restaurant in Wuppertal

I visited this place twice for a works dinner twice (seems my client knows the owner so spends much time there).

The first visit I had the pasta Bolognese, which was Fusilli coated in a tomato and mincemeat sauce, accompanied with a large pot of cheese for topping. It wasn't bad, but felt it could have done with something else to break it up, perhaps some olives or peppers in the sauce, salad or veg to the side, etc.

The next day I opted for the lasagne next day, which amounted to a stodgy pile of lasagne pasta with some sauce within, accompanied with a bit of side salad. It felt quite gloopy and not great to eat - perhaps I should have stuck to...

It was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The highlight of my meal was the Seafood Pasta, which was absolutely delicious. The pasta was cooked Al Dente, just as it should be, and the seafood was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Every bite was a delight.

Beyond the food, the service was top-notch. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a great Italian dining experience.

We had two pizzas, Vegetarian and Hawaii, both of them tasted delicious. The „Pizzabrötchen“ were great, too. However, I also ordered tiramisu. It was already sour (I assume this happened because of alcohol and the mascarpone, which contains milk). I returned the tiramisu, but was only refunded €4.50 instead of the paid €5.90. I really don’t care if something goes wrong, I rather focus on how mistakes are managed. In this case I think a full refund would have been the...
