I made the reservation online, two reservations were made - one refundable and one non-refundable; confirmations received at exactly the same time. I called the hotel, they said not their problem; they couldn’t help, any changes would have to be done online. Online wouldn’t allow changes. Called the help center, and they said call the hotel. Finally it was resolved with an email.
When I arrived, I found the desk help to be less than helpful. Their credit card machine wasn’t connecting — I literally waited 15 minutes for them to complete the transaction. Instead of her calling the card service center as the machine instructed she just kept trying, over and over.
Arrival to the room was a bit of a shock as well. Nice sized room but the floors were in absolute poor condition; huge dark stains everywhere. The air condition rattled for the entirety of the night quite loudly. Not to mention, the shower fixtures were broken.
Food was fine for dinner. While I ordered a Greek salad and grilled chicken, I got something far from a Greek salad. I asked for the manager to see if there was a mistake. He was apologetic but was still happy to bring me the overly priced bill for the salad. The next morning, we went to breakfast and was told that one of us could eat but the other would need to pay which doesn’t make much sense seeing that two people stayed in the room.
