Han Court Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Ashanti Region

I am changing my review. I was there with my wife not long ago for lunch. Portions have become smaller and prices have increased.

We used to order steamed or fried dumplings. Used to have 22 pcs in a portion. Now its 12 and even higher price. After we finsihed our meal, I asked the waiter for half a portion of fried rice as we were taking some taking away and wanted to add that to the rice left from our meal. Waiter plainly said no we cant. I said why can't we, he replied we don’t do that. It's fried rice that is so over inflated in price. I asked for manager and he said manager was not in. I had seen a chinese woman around so I asked for her. She came over and as the over manager, was unhelpful and rude. We frequented HanCourt at least once or twice a month and they couldn't accommodate to sell us half a portion of egg fried rice. No customer satisfaction. It's not the value but having a regular customer coming to you, and being so stiff, unfriendly and rude has made us not want to go...

Tonight was my second time trying out the restaurant and once again I had a very bad experience. It took ages to get a waiter and even that we had to select someone to serve us. They had only 3 tables with customers in the restaurant which does not explain the delay in getting a waiter. With only 2 air conditioners working which was set to 25 degrees they were serving sizzling foods which made the place very stuffy and I was unable to breathe. I asked several times to lower the temperature of the AC but it could not be done. I had to be going in and out of the washroom to be able to breathe. I'm beyond impressed with the restaurant for many reasons. Not only was the food some of the best Chinese style food we've had in Kumasi, the staff was the best as well. They were very friendly, professional, and things were done quickly. It's the first place we've been to in Ghana for the two months we've been here that has served us our appetizers before our main dish. Everything was brought out quickly and perfectly cooked. And, to our surprise, it's some of the best Chinese we've had even compared to our normal places in America we go to.
