It wasn't possible to give a zero rating. I had been patronizing this restaurant for some months, but the last three visits, showed poor customer service, in the wrong way. Try sitting for almost an hour waiting on your food, only to find out that your order was never placed. Also, they do have a sign letting you know about the price increase on their food and beverage items, but a 30% increase is ridiculous. It makes you wonder, if they are just making up prices, so that they can get an even higher tip, and the owner is unaware of their ploy/game. I asked to speak to the owner, only to be told that they have no contact information for this person. I informed them that I would not be returning to Fridays Restaurant and Grill and their attitude was like, "We don't care". If I want to be ripped off, I could just throw my money off a bridge, rather than go to a place where prices are just made up, on a case by case scenario. Friday's at Sakumono has been completely renovated. I've been a patron for at least 15 years. The place can admit at least a quarter more customers than the previous arrangement. Their meals are very tasty. The food ranges from continental to all kinds local dishes. Their live band session on weekends is a blast and a must experience. Their floor manager is very effective. I encountered him one time, a very dutiful, humble and respectful young man. He is able to serve, clean the tables, take orders to hasten the waiting times for customers. I commend him highly. Security at the car park is friendly and respectful. Their take out section on the edge of the establishment is a great idea. You don't have to walk through the many customers on the grounds eating, just to pick up or place your take out order. This place is incredibly disappointing and far from welcoming. The lack of care in its upkeep is disheartening, and the customer service leaves much to be desired. The employees seem uninterested and unmotivated to assist, which adds to the frustration. The atmosphere is unpleasant, with a noticeable mosquito problem and an unfortunate smell that lingers from nearby gutters.
