I stayed at this hotel for ten days. Very affordable, quiet area and not too far from the city centre. The room was spacious, the bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast was good and always served on time, usually between 7 am and 8 am. The staff were friendly and very professionally. The food was delicious. Negatives: The Aircon was noisy; WiFi wasn't effective which was frustrating especially on the first day when I had to do some work online and I couldnt. I had to sort out my own internet connection; toilet paper was not always available; bedsheet and towel weren't changed throughout my stay. I had my own towel anyways; had to request for my room to be cleaned sometimes; Not the cleaner's fault. It seemed the cleaning sector is understaffed. Special request that I made before arrival wasn't met until two days later, after chasing them. The television at reception and the restaurant were always showing Korean films, in Korean language, and subtitles in English. I understand there were some Korean staff working at the restaurant, but think about the customers first. Films should be in English and subtitles in other languages. A hotel is an international environment for Christ sake. Talking of Christ, there is a church service on the ground floor on Sunday which I found weird for a church to be beneath a hotel. They pray aloud and the noise could disturb some customers. However, if you're a Christian staying the weekend, this could come handy for you to go worship. Apart from that, it was a nice place and I did enjoy my stay. This is an honest review and should be...
Read moreWhat to start with? Elevator wasn't working. Wifi was annoyingly poor on the 4th floor and for anything important, one must go down to reception level. They charge you extra for towels in case you want them (3 star hotel !!). Breakfast was spectacularly unimaginative, day in day out. You get what they serve you and there’s no alternative. I said I was a vegetarian and one morning I received only two slices of bread?! AC in the room stopped working after a while. There was a small lizard crawling up and down walls for the last two or three days of my stay there. How on earth did it get in? I needed the business centre ("As soon as the manager arrives.") He never did. My wife needed the ironing service ("It's Sunday and the person is not there today."). Korean management does a rather lacklustre job at the hotel which, as it is, would hardly be graded 3 stars anywhere else.||So was there anything good there? Yes, local staff were very nice. The bellboy (hardly a boy) and the receptionist even refused a tip for carrying our luggage up to the 4th floor (“It’s our duty”). And the room was clean.||Will I return to Accra? By all means? Will I again stay here?...
Read moreI’ve stayed at several hotels in other countries and this has to be one of the most dated hotels that I’ve ever stayed in. The furniture in the room needs to be replaced to something more modern. Water from the air conditioner kept leaking on the floor. The balcony area should be fixed up, it is not aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The bathtub had rust inside of it and there was also rust around the toilet and the lighting was very dim. Some of my towels had holes in them, and there was also a dead roach in my bed. The room also has no microwave, but there was a dirty refrigerator that I cleaned out myself with some antibacterial wet wipes that I brought with me on my trip. Also the staff should work on their customer service skills!!! Start by smiling more and making your guests feel welcomed. The best thing about this hotel for me was the location. The only thing that got me through my stay was coming to the room late at night to rest my head after exploring Accra all day. I would highly suggest that the owners renovate the...
