We first saw this restaurant many years ago when we first came to the island and since moving here five years ago we have driven past many times on the way to our cottage in Poulata. Today we stopped for lunch and now know what we have been missing out on. Beautifully cooked no nonsense food all locally sourced. The restaurant is owned by the local farmer who produces all the meat and the many cheeses are also produced on the farm. The lady serving is very attentive and proud of the cheese that she makes the prentza that she makes is particularly good. Prentza is made from the scraping of the feta barrels mixed with olive oil and thyme and matured for three months in wooden barrels. Go take your time enjoy a nice salad with some perfectly grilled meat and definitely have some prentza. Return visit last night 17/6/22 great food as always and live entertainment.

Sheep and lamb seems to be their speciality, we tried lamb chops, sausages and chicken kebab .. all simple, fresh and locally sourced from the owners farm next door. Simple meat focussed menu, no desserts. It was quiet when we arrived soon after 7pm, but by 9pm the place was full with locals and great atmosphere. Quite a long way out so really need a car, we took a taxi trom Avithos resort, worth the trip to experience simple, no frills Greek food

This is the epitome of what a Greek tavern is. This is not touristic at all, just an authentic place frequented by locals. Great meats on the grill. Especially pork and lamb. Just follow the owner's recommendations and you will be satisfied. By sunset, views from the balcony are really lovely. Very simple, no fuss restaurant, but very, very good. I miss it already.

We went through this village and stopped here to eat dinner. The service was slow, but, this is Greece and one waitress was in charge of the whole restaurant. It was packed with about forty people to start but got busier as time went by. We ordered a Greek salad, which had the best feta I’ve ever eaten. We found out the owner makes his own feta fresh from his farm. Also two steaks which were bigger than the plate could handle. The saganaki was cooked perfectly and crispy. Homemade bread was great and made fresh. Don’t skip the red wine. They also make this in house…sweet and delicious. We also ordered the loukaniko and it was tasty and just right saltiness.
