A shop and cafe with one of the most delightful views you will find anywhere. Not a spectacular view, just a lovely view over the hills and countryside. The shop is a small village store, cum cafe, cum souvenir and local products for tourists and visitors. Blink and you will miss it. Google Maps calls it 'Old Time Cafe' - the sign says in Greek I think Pantoppleioi Lionatoi and that it is a coffee shop, a kafeneio. Much done up since the pictures in Google street view. Small, but bigger than it looks inside. Coming from the castle direction we parked just past the bus stop slightly further on. Enjoyed the home made lemonade and another time would try the Greek coffee. We only just noticed the other very traditional looking store and restaurant a few yards further on, and only on looking at Google did I realise that that is a much bigger village store and cafe / restaurant. Great setting and some good items, but the payment experience left a very bad impression....

Today on our way to the port of Sami we stopped to say hello to the owners, unfortunately my wife dropped an already precariously balanced fruit jam. It is useless to reassure them that they will compensate the damaged goods because the laughing and welcoming people from before turned into angry, irritated people, they made us weigh what had happened and in the end they added to the souvenir the sum of the crushed jam demanding full price and not the Net cost. They presented us with a bill of 32€ without a receipt. Never again from Old time cafe, the...
