Plátanos — Restaurant in Argostoli Municipality

There are two restaurants in town. We decided to try them both. Walked into this place and was ignored. We stood for a minute or two (time it, it is a long time) waiting to be spoken to but was completely ignored. There were two tables eating and we assumed that because no one spoke to us that they had finished serving. We ate at the second restaurant down the road which was really busy but made another table for us both. After finishing our meal we walked back to our room and passed this restaurant to find that this place was still open and now had three tables eating. I am not sure why we were ignored but I would rather give my money to someone who wants it. One star is all I can give a place that does not welcome...

If you want to try extraordinary, homemade, traditional greek food, and you love huge portions and extra low prices, then you need to try what this people have to offer :). This restaurant offers the most beautifull, domestic food on island, and the nanny who is the cheef has briliant tallent for making food. Dolmadakia is excellent (7 peaces on portion), lamb chops for 5+, tzatziki the best ever, and homemade sweet grape was something I will remember. The best food we've tried in Greece so far. The waiter was amazingly helpful and friendly. He asked us how we took our coffee and made us two perfect iced coffees. Then he answered all of our questions about the menu. The food was delicious, especially the saganaki cheese and homemade french fries. Then we asked about grapes growing above our heads and the waiter not only told us everything about them but let us try them as well.
