I went back after 9 years… Yes, the seafood is quite successful — no complaints there — but…
1- From the moment you sit down, it takes about 30–40 minutes for them to prepare the table, get it ready for service, and take your order. 2- When you call a waiter for something, you’ll be torn between being surprised at how lazily they stroll over, or how they return just as slowly — even wandering off pointlessly as if you hadn’t asked for anything at all. Get ready for your patience to be tested. 3- The interior of the place has its own charm, but once you step outside… it’s like a war zone — chairs scattered everywhere, no order whatsoever. I felt the urge to fix the surrounding area myself just for the sake of visual peace. When they clean up tables, they have no habit of arranging chairs properly; they fling them around like props. 4- When your table is finally being set (after several minutes), don’t expect the waiter to place the plates in front of you. He’ll just drop them on the edge or middle of the table — wherever suits him — and walk away. You’ll have to arrange everything yourself. 5- The same lack of service applies when your food arrives. The waiter, seemingly unfamiliar with basic serving etiquette, simply hands you the plates and leaves. 6- If you expect your plates to be refreshed or your ashtrays to be changed, prepare to be disappointed again. 7- And finally, paying the bill takes about 30 minutes (sometimes more, never less). Be sure to plan accordingly.
The only consolation is that you can enjoy quality seafood at more affordable prices compared to back home. Lagada is a pleasant place in terms of ambiance, but the situations I’ve outlined above are genuinely annoying. Despite having visited multiple times… would I go again? VERY UNLIKELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Only if I’m accompanying someone who’s...
Read more2025: I decided to give this place another chance this year, but unfortunately, there has been no improvement in either taste or quality. The waiters are unfriendly, and the food is average at best, often below. With this kind of management, I believe they will eventually run the business into the ground. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it to anyone.
2024: The atmosphere was very good, like the other places next to it. Like all the places in Lagkada. The food was average in my opinion. We couldn't eat a meal that we thought was perfect. For some reason, the waiters were a bit unhappy. There was no warm Greek hospitality that I was used to. Also, the most ridiculous thing was that they didn't serve coffee in the place. I didn't understand why and it seemed ridiculous. It's the little nuances that make a place good or bad, like the warmness of the waiters or the simplest Greek coffee service, this is the feedback...
Read moreIt was the worst meal we had on Chios. We ordered octopus, shrimp, fried zucchini, salad, meatballs, tzatziki, fava and red mullet. I'm sorry to say that we couldn't finish any of them. They were all so tasteless. We were surprised how such tasteless seafood could exist on a Greek island. It might be the toughest, uncut octopus I've ever eaten in my life. I even doubted that the shrimps were cleaned. How can they cook a fish like red mullet badly? There is also a very bad bee problem. I've never seen so many bees together. We couldn't sit at the table and eat our meals comfortably. We had a terrible food experience on our last night in Chios. A restaurant that does not suit a very sweet village. The comments are surprising. It's a waste of time and I definitely don't...
