Everything at this fish restaurant is simply perfect! Having visited several seafood places recently, we often found ourselves put off by the overpowering smell that greeted us at the door. However, this was not the case here. As soon as we entered, we were pleasantly surprised by the absence of any fishy odors, creating a welcoming and clean atmosphere.

Once the food was served, the only smell was the enticing aroma of well-prepared seafood, hinting at the culinary delights to come. And indeed, each dish was a revelation! The flavors were balanced, the fish was fresh and expertly cooked, and the presentation was impeccable. It’s rare to find a place that truly excels in every aspect—from the ambiance to the quality of the food.

Sadly, this top taverna, has gone down dramatically the last 2 years. The menu once boasted a good variety of dishes from all aspects of the Greek kitchen. Lately you are presented with one pork option, one chicken option and one beef option. There are 3 or 4 spaghetti dishes and everything else is fish. I reluctantly ordered the cuttlefish which had been excellent in the past. Sadly, it was a big disappointment. A huge bowlful of bland, textureless, grey matter in a tasteless grey sauce. It looked like something out of a tin that had been heated up. Most of it was returned to the kitchen uneaten. If you come in a party make sure everyone likes fish as the selection for alternatives is very limited. Maybe Rrmezzo should just advertise itself as a fish taverna. I wont be back...

Πήγαμε σε αυτό το εστιατόριο γιατί διαβάσαμε τις καλές κριτικές που είχε και μας το πρότεινε και μια κυρία που ρωτήσαμε τυχαία λίγο πριν φτάσουμε. Ήταν 30/04 Κυριακή, πριν τη Πρωτομαγιά. Πρώτα περάσαμε μπροστά από το μαγαζί την ώρα που έστρωναν τα τραπέζια. Ζητήσαμε να κάνουμε κράτηση και μας είπαν ότι όλα τα τραπέζια ήταν reserved εκτός από 3 μπροστινά που θα τα έλουζε ο ήλιος σε λίγη ώρα. Αρχικά εκτιμήσαμε το γεγονός ότι μας το εξήγησαν και μας άφησαν να το σκεφτούμε. Μην τα πολυλογώ...στην πορεία διαπίστωσα ότι δεν ήταν όλα reserved...καθίσαμε τελικά σε κάποιο που ήταν!!🫢 Ίσως εφαρμόζουν το κόλπο του να παρουσιάζουν το μαγαζί "κλεισμένο" για να δημιουργούνται εντυπώσεις στους πελάτες και περαστικούς ότι το μαγαζί έχει ανταπόκριση. Παραγγείλαμε τα ψητά ψωμάκια με ντομάτα και ελιές. Δεν μου έκαναν και ιδιαίτερη εντύπωση! Αυτά που μου άρεσαν ήταν τα τηγανητά καλαμαράκια (κατεψυγμένα...το έλεγε ο κατάλογος) και η καβουροσαλάτα. Αυτά που πραγματικά μας απογοήτευσαν ήταν το γεμιστό καλαμάρι ( κατεψυγμένο...το έλεγε ο κατάλογος), οι τηγανιτές πατάτες, οι ψητές σαρδέλες και οι μελιτζάνες! Δεν μπορούσες να τα φας!! Το καλαμάρι στουμπωμένο με φέτα μέχρι αηδίας! Ήταν τόσο σκληρό και χοντρό επίσης! Οι πατάτες σαν λάστιχο! Απορώ πώς σε κάποιο σχόλιο διάβασα ότι σερβίρει ωραίες πατάτες!! Πρώτη φορά αφήσαμε τα πιάτα μας παρ' όλο που πεινούσαμε!! Όντως σερβίρουν μόνο εμφιαλωμένο κρασί...
