Full review: This is one of those places where you immediately feel at home. It is clearly a family-run place, and each of them contributes to the warm atmosphere. There is kindness, helpfulness, and a genuine smile everywhere you turn.

Mom is the heart of the kitchen. She knows exactly what each guest has had and what they would like next, and she somehow manages to keep everything in order while still having time for a smile or a laugh. She is the first one you meet in the morning, serving frappe, toast, eggs, or yogurt. In the afternoon, when you stop by again for a coffee, she is there too. And at night, after dinner, she is the one you say goodnight to. Meeting her feels like meeting a friend.

The son runs the restaurant together with his wife/girlfriend. They take care of the guests with such natural friendliness – making sure orders are right, that the food arrives in good time, and even guiding you on “how to do it” if the fresh fish on your plate seems a little complicated. They create an easy, cheerful atmosphere, and together they radiate warmth.

Dad is also very present. He talks with the guests, enjoys the atmosphere, and even brings in fresh fish directly from the harbor.

We stayed in a single room that had everything we needed: clean, tidy, and with a stunning view of the eastern sea. It only takes a few minutes to walk down to the beach – though the way back up is a bit steep, it is part of the island’s charm and beauty.

In short: • The rooms, the location, the cleaning, the outdoor area, the facilities – all excellent. • The restaurant, the menu, the service, the food quality, the atmosphere, and above all, the friendliness – absolutely excellent.

If we ever return to Gavdos (and despite Crete being a bit of a challenge to get through), this place will definitely be at the top of our list. It has given us four wonderful days filled with good food, genuine hospitality, and a feeling of being part of the family.

I order fish, hot creme spicy and french fries. The creme arrive and it was cold, the french fries were good. The creme was really not good and the french fries yes. I wait 40/50 minutes for my fresh fish… The taste was nothing special. I was sit alone and a guy working there arrive and told me in a rude way that i was disturbing people scrolling my phone on tik tok…that was embarassing the way how he said to me and the rude way… I pay for all 35€ that is really a lot considere is a small island and the service was slow and food not nice..

Panorama is by far the best restaurant in Gavdos and if you spend time on the island, you don't want to skip eating there. The food is prepared with a lot of love and dedication by the family who owns it. They truly care about their customers and always make sure everyone has a lovely experience there. I also stayed at one of the apartments they offer. The apartment was renovated, super clean and comfortable! I was very pleased...
