We were there for dinner yesterday at 10pm. After about 50 minutes we received our drinks. A whole 1 1/2 hours later the meal. Same situation at all the other tables. We are in high season, if you can't manage to serve the 8 tables you have, then don't open a restaurant.

The waiter (the owner's son) is super cheeky and unruly. When we wanted to order, he held his hand in front of our faces several times to tell us to wait. When we asked for more bread, he said there was only a little bread left and he would keep it for the table next to us! What?! The only thing that saved it was the more than friendly and exhausted owner, who is also the cook and the cashier. I want to share my honest experience with my review and not ruin anyone's livelihood, but I haven't even found such a poorly organised restaurant in the last cow village in India. This is a great hidden place in Ikaria. This authentic local, home-cooked only food tavern is ran mostly just by one person, Athinas, who will seat with you at the table and discuss what she's cooked today and what she can cook for you on the spot. Beautiful atmosphere, authentic environment. Visit in small groups, chill and relax with the slow pace of the place...

This is simply the best food I have had in any Greek restaurant or possibly any restaurant anywhere! All the ingredients are locally sourced and the cooking is wholesome home style cooking. The owner/cook/waitress, all the same person is so humble and generous it was not just a culinary experience but an experience of humility...
