Heard about this place from others in town and at our hotel and it exceeded our expectations. We have been on vacation for over two weeks around Greece and here in Ikaria for 8days, this has been my personal favorite meal. I got the fresh fish and then gentleman working there (pictured in my pics) took me to the cooler where there fresh fish was kept. He explained to me each of the different seafood they had to offer which included a variety of fish, squid, lobster etc I choose the red seabream and I feel like I won the lottery. I found it very nice that Anna the owner came to say hello at the end of the meal as well. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful meal and experience. PS the view from the restaurant was spectacular as well.

Best dining experience in area. Anna and staff took us (party of 6) into the kitchen to see dishes in their individual cooking pots and pans and hear about the preparation of each. Like eating in someone's home. We feasted for 10 euros each person that included wine. All fresh ingredients and we wanted to try almost everything. Friendly, clean, good sunset, great food, low price. Lovely people. We will be regulars during the remainder of our visit. We had a variety of starters and mains which we all sampled. Anna laid on a chocolate dessert with ice cream at the end. Chicken in honey, moussaka, pork.... everything lived well together. Very happy with the food, the experience, and the price.

AMAZING food, service, atmosphere! Anna and her staff are endearing and kind and wonderful. Anna told us her story of working since she was 14 years old at Artemis restaurant and then opening up Anna’s Taverna with her husband when she was 23 years old! The fish, chicken, mousaki, octopus, shrimp, vegetables, everything was delicious. They showed us the fresh caught fish in the cooler and we got to pick the ones we wanted from there. The portions are large and you can feel the love in each dish. My friends ordered red and white wines and Ouzo and loved all of it. Everyone there was so friendly. I highly recommend Anna’s Fish Tavern.
