I have never posted a negative review in my life. However, I feel the urge to do so, not to shame the restaurant but to protect future potential customers. The food we ordered could easily be the worst weâve had in recent memory. To describe what we ate as food is a complement to the restaurant and I use the first person plural (we) because the other three friends who I dined with share the same opinion. Half of the plates on the menu were not available. One could think this is a bad thing yet it could suggest that what is indeed available is fresh. I regret to say itâs not the latter.
We ordered a greek salad which was average - Thatâs fine.
The bread accompanying the salad was burnt - itâs bottom side (obviously for concealment purposes) could easily be mistaken for coal.
Tyrokafteri and Tzatziki - I am infuriated just from the thought. They were from the supermarket straight-up. I go to a restaurant to eat home-made fresh food. If I wanted supermarket quality guess where Iâd go - to the supermarket.
Pork souvlaki - Burnt, didnât taste remotely close to pork souvlaki and it had a weird taste. Even the waitress thought it was chicken. Iâm laughing as Iâm typing this; can the standards go any lower?

Sausage - Burnt - what a surprise. Tasteless. My taste buds will surely not forgive me and I have no idea how I can make it up to them as I fully understand them. I wouldnât forgive me either. As a matter of fact I feel like going for a swim or at least a walk as an attempt to redemption and cleanse myself for the sins of others (hint: klimataria).
Pancetta and Pork Chop - Have a wild guess: youâre right! Burnt! And the meat tasted weird! Worryingly weird. Iâll purposely avoid expanding.
Fried Melintzanes - They were proper dark. Most likely due to the three-month reused frying oil. Wouldnât even dare ti try them.
Braised baby lamp - Pluster - An odd description but totally deserving. Today itâs Wednesday, just turned Thursday. I remember when it was Monday like 5 minutes ago. Iâm sure the lamp thinks the same.
Fries - just fries but why not any seasoning? Takes you a long way. Anyway, a re-used frying oil case.
Lemon braised beef - It was okay. And it was so as it was surrounded by a crowded disaster of plates.
Pastitsio - Ready-made - Microwave - Service please. It was disrespectful. If disrespecting one was art, the dish would belong to a museum, one of those good ones which are usually the first destination of tourists upon arrival to an acclaimed city.
Liver - Didnât try for healthy and safety reasons. My friends described it as tough, fake aaaaaand; yep, burnt.
The service was poor. When the food was ready to be served, we saw the waiter/owner who was carrying it, take it back upon his realisation that we had no plates nor cutlery. For some reason we had to wait another 10 minutes for those to arrive.
I was enraged by the experience. When the bill came, the waitress asked how the food was but I cannot seem to get out of mind her swift turn away from the table as if she already knew. But who faults her? Yes, the service was bad but in no way she deserves blame for what we tasted.
The only good thing was the still water. Honestly, it was cooled at perfection. If youâre thirsty please by all means go visit. But, if hungry Iâd advise curing your hunger another way.

Rice and beetroot smelled and tasted bad, the dishes were average - nothing special and arranged without love. Stuff was not very understanding tho our critic was not about personal preferences but rotten food. Kitchen âinteriorâ and setting seemed unclean. I experienced many Greek restaurant that are kind of old fashioned and messy but in a clean and organised way. You donât have to be all modern and fancy, but please, donât serve rotten products. Da in GR aufwendige Werbung und WegfĂŒhrung nicht sehr hĂ€ufig ist, ist diese Taverne nicht ganz einfach zu finden. Der Grund: sie liegt nicht auf der Flaniermeile am Ufer des Hafens, mit seinen zahlreichen gastronomischen Einrichtungen. Sie befindet sich aber nicht weit davon, nĂ€mlich idort, wo enge StraĂen und kleine PlĂ€tze vorliegen. In dieser sehr freundlichen Umgebung findet man dann das Klimataria, das zahlreiche Tische und StĂŒhle hier platziert hat, wo man es sehr gut aushalten kann. Sehr angenehm ist auch die Speisekarte, in der nicht nur das modern gewordene Gegrillte und Gebratene zu finden ist. Hier findet man vor allem die Gerichte der klassischen (und sehr gesunden!) griechischen KĂŒche, die vor allem von gekochten Speisen dominiert wird. Ein weiterer Vorzug des Klimataria ist, dass diese Gerichte in einer besonderen, hauseigenen Form produziert und prĂ€sentiert werden. So wird das Moussaka nicht in einer tortenartigen Gestalt serviert, sondern man erhĂ€lt diese vorzĂŒgliche Speise in Form zweier StĂŒcke. Beim Tsatsiki war es die Zusammensetzung, die wir so nicht gekannt hatten - es war ausgezeichnet. Auch beim Wein gab es eine Ăberraschung, denn unser vorzĂŒglicher Retsina hatte eine rötliche FĂ€rbung â und wir tranken somit einen Tropfen, den der Wirt persönlich in seinem Weingarten gebaut hatte. Auch die Musik war sehr angenehm. Man hörte Griechisches - eine sehr gelungene Mischung von Werken der Klassiker wie Alexiou, Dalaras, Dionysiou ... Auch der Abschluss war sehr erfreulich: wir bekamen noch eine sehr umfangreiche Nachspeise geschenkt und die Rechnung war sehr gĂŒnstig.
