Delicious — Restaurant in Ithaca Municipality

We long lined our boat at Polis Bay, which sits at the bottom of the road leading up to Stavros, a beautiful traditional Greek Village.

Delicious Taverna sits just on the town square and is absolutely authentic and traditionally Greek, we were just about the only non Greeks in the Taverna.

The service was fantastic, the portion sizes were about the most generous we have had in the Ionian.

The meet dishes, Lamb stamna and Lamb Chops were cooked to perfection on the grill and the Greek salad was huge and enough for 4 to share. Moussaka was also a generous portion.

We had a fantastic meal in beautiful surroundings and were made to feel genuinely welcome, what a gorgeous little gem of a taverna...

We ate here with a small group of friends while island hopping on a sailboat in the Ionian Sea. This was one of our favorite places for a classic Greek dinner. We really enjoyed the saganaki and the fried feta with sesame seeds and honey. They were exceptional. Also, the shared meat platter for less than 40 Euros fed four members of our group and the included options we delicious. The atmosphere was very nice and the staff took good care of us while allowing us to take our time and enjoy our experience.

Ok, here's the thing. The staff was very kind and the food absolutely delicious (we had fried cheese with honey, tzatziki and shared a generous plate of mixed grilled meat). I've put four stars on the ambient and service because the location isn't particularly good, like your average neighborhood restaurant on the town square, and the service had been slow. The waiter told me it was due to the fact that everyone asked for grilled food and so the grill was overly busy. So I can't know if on average they are or not faster... then I give a 4 that isn't bad nor awesome but in the range of"...
