Extraterrestrial — Restaurant in Ithaca Municipality

The restaurant is high up on the mountain so you really need to drive up to it. The road to it is a twisty mostly single track with plenty of hairpin bends but it’s definitely worth the trip. The waiters are really friendly provided great service and the main man was really helpful when explaining all the dishes providing details of all the local ingredients right down to the herbs and spices that grow around the village even giving details of the local beers linked to odessyus whose palace is believed to lie at the foot of the road up to Exogi ( recommend “The Sirens” lager 5% and so crisp ling to The Odyssey) The view from the restaurant is stunning looking down onto the cliffs of the northern shores of the island and across to the opposite mountain. The food was a real treat, mixing traditional Greek food with a modern twist, it was well worth the trip and I thoroughly recommend it if you are lucky enough to be on the gorgeous...

We had a lovely experience at Extraterrestrial in the charming village of Exogi. The terrace is absolutely adorable, with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere — the perfect spot for a relaxing meal.

We started with the special salad of the day, which included peach, pomegranate, apple, greens, grapes, crema di Modena, pine nuts, and blue cheese. It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced — we really enjoyed it. The spinach and feta pie was also very good.

For the main dish, we shared the chicken thigh with mushrooms, served with rice on the side. It was rich, full of flavor, and very satisfying. We finished we two greek coffees.

Service was outstanding. Axel and Nicolas were fantastic — super friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home.

Delicious food in a fantastic setting!

After a visit to the School of Homer we hiked up to Exogi (a wonderful yet steep 30 min hike) to have lunch at Extraterrestrial. From our table on the shady terrace we enjoyed a fantastic view over the North of Ithaca and an even better Greek salad. All the ingredients where very fresh and of top quality. As we didn't have a huge appetite, we didn't order anything else but the dishes served at the other tables looked equally delicious. Besides the dishes on the main menu, the friendly and attentive staff made us aware of the three additional dished of the daily menu.
