Gefyri was a great place to be, located in a crossroad after Stavros village in Ithaca was a great surprise to us. The quality of the food along with the fairness of the prices and the friendliness of the people working there made our dinner a special experience. In comparison to other restaurants in the islands which had nice food but not creative and truly overpriced Gefyri restaurant would get the highest recommendation. Food tasted good, however the portion could not justify the (very steep) price. If the portions were bigger (by a lot), it would be 4 stars. Papardelle with cream and spinach were not that great, and the portion very small. 12 EUR for a small plate of pasta with a few leaves of spinach (and no protein source) is too much. Fun location, great music, nice staff who speak many languages, and healthy, fresh fusion food to interest your palette if you're a little worn out on souvlaki or Greek salad. Get there early so they still have the kalamare and make sure to save room for lemon tart and cheesecake!!
