Our stay in Karystos was truly memorable thanks to this lovely hotel in a perfect location. It is right next to the port with the seafood taverns on one side and clean beaches on the other. The room was clean tidy and beautifully refurbished with plenty of space and a stunning sea view, as all rooms have. A highlight for us was enjoying breakfast right by the sea on a quiet part of the road. The breakfast itself was excellent with a wide variety of fresh local products to choose from.

The restaurant just below the hotel was another standout. Even though it was fully booked the hotel owner kindly found us a table and we ended up having an unforgettable night. A live rebetiko performance brought the place to life with musicians who clearly loved what they were doing and created a fantastic atmosphere. The food was exceptional with generous portions and a modern take on traditional local cuisine. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor, a perfect example of gourmet-style Greek cooking rooted in local traditions.

This family run restaurant is a gem. It only opened in summer 2022 and is already getting a great reputation. The food is excellent with a great selection of traditional Greek dishes. We visited tonight (20/1/2023) and there was live music and all covers were taken so they where turning people away. Fortunately we had booked. In the winter months it's only open Friday thru Sunday so if you're visiting Karystos for a weekend it's definitely worth a visit. Update 29/11/2024 - Has just reopened after a refurbishment and the new layout is really good. Food was excellent as always. If I could give 6-Stars I would!! The rooms were wonderful - clean, furnished with everything you would need to spend several days comfortably and water pressure was awesome. More awesome was the food which was made with love, using family recipes. We had every meal at the hotel, as it may be one of the best restaurants in Greece. The portions were generous and the prices quite reasonable. But what was more remarkable was the warmth and hospitality of the brothers that brought that genuine Greek hospitality to their business.
