Aelia Bar Restaurant & Beach Lounge — Restaurant in Kassandra Municipality

It is not my first time in Halkidiki, but it is my first time in Cassandra. So, before to go for Aelia, some general impressions: the large majority of tourists is Greek. Some Romanians, Italians and Belgians, all together almost invisibile among so many Greeks the beaches are smaller and not so spectacular compaing with Sithonia in Agia Paraskevi not only the thermal spa has Sulphur, but also the see water. My silver necklace turned first yellow, than almost black, with blue shadows... I hope I can clean it of those oxides

Aelia is first of all a classy place, very well kept. The lady in charge of the restaurant speaks an educated English and masters the menu and recomandations. Due to the pandemia and the small number of tourists overall, it isn't crowded, but still is better to book a table. We were 7 in the group, and still the service was fast and nice. The tarama salad received all compliments. We had lot of salads, correct ones, chicken gyros, just good, and very good eggplant salad. Unfortunately we didn't eat fish, despite the reputation and selection. I observed instead the satisfaction of our table neighbors. All of them having fish... A very good ice-cream too, say the ice-cream eaters.

Να πληρώσω 20 ευρώ το πιάτο ρε παιδιά αλλά να αξίζει, όχι για άγουρες χοντροκομμένες ντομάτες στη σαλάτα, εντελώς ανοστο ριζότο (που δεν ήταν ριζότο δηλαδή) και ακαθάριστο καλαμάρι.ειπα μάλιστα στην κοπέλα στο σέρβις τι είναι αυτό που εχει μέσα το καλαμάρι, δεν είναι καλά καθαρισμένο?, μου είπε θα ρωτήσω στην κουζίνα και θα σας πω και όταν ήρθε η ώρα να πληρώσουμε και την ρώτησα τι ήταν τελικά η απάντηση ήταν αποκλείεται να μην ήταν καλά καθαρισμένο αλλά δεν ρώτησα τι ήταν. Μέχρι και το νερό ήταν ζεστό και ζητήσαμε πάγο για να μπορέσουμε να το πιούμε. Λυπάμαι αλλά δεν έχω κάτι καλό να πω εκτός από την τοποθεσία η οποία είναι ωραία αλλά μέχρι εκεί. Το ριζότο δεν ήταν ούτε κρεμώδες ούτε al dente για την ακρίβεια ήταν παραβρασμενο και σαν σουπα. Φυσικά και τα φάγαμε γιατί πεινουσαμε για αυτό ήρθαμε άλλωστε. Για τις τιμές έχετε δίκιο, δεν θυμόμουν ακριβώς προφανώς υπερεβαλα. Να τονίσω ότι είπαμε στη σερβιτόρα και για το ακαθάριστο καλαμάρι αλλά και ότι δεν μας άρεσε το ριζότο. πάλι καλά που δεν ήρθατε να μας ζητήσετε το λόγο γιατί τα φάγαμε εκείνη την ώρα. Λυπάμαι που μπήκατε στον κόπο να απαντήσετε στην κριτική μου με αυτό τον τρόπο. Θα περίμενα κάτι άλλο, μια συγνώμη ίσως για την άτυχη...

We were at Aelia for a wedding. The food was great, waiters friendly - a great experience next to a perfect greek beach. When we had to get home, there were no Taxis. Our wonderfull hostess Maria really went out of her way and left no stone untouched to get us home. Such a great place with true greek hospitality... a very warm recommendation! Thank...
