The reason for this low rating is the unclear instructions upon arrival regarding which sunbeds belong to which establishment. And unclear instructions regarding authority and overall lack of communication among the owners when it comes to charging and guest rights. I don't think anyone would enjoy hearing "I am the boss here, in the restaurant, and these are my sunbeds". But I have to thank the person who, originally asked us to pay an extra 10 euros, presumably as an incentive to get us to go away. Revoking the request after we told him we bought the drinks so we can stay here. Regardless of this action, requests for the bill were ignored today, and most days. One day the bill was shown to us on a digital tablet, but most days not provided without insisting for it. Making it unclear how much our drinks and meals cost, and why the cost didn't reflect the Menu at times. By giving no proof of purchase we were left vulnerable to the possibility of being charged twice for the same drink or meal, if anyone saw fit to do so. I don't doubt that the owners are nice people and I am grateful they didn't use the fact that no physical evidence of purchase was given to us, to deny that any purchases happened and keep the money while requesting more. Today their lack of communication and organization was evident. I wish them the best in the future. My advice for guests is to always request physical evidence of your purchases for your and everyone's security. (I needed to edit my original review because in the end, the owner and her family were well treated by the staff and we were...
Read moreOrders not brought right: Cause of medical reasons one of us ordered a 0.0% beer and even asked twice if they really have 0.0% (as stated in the menu). The waiter brought a 0.5% and after asking he just said that they don’t have one with less alcohol. Also we were served a still water instead of the sparkling we ordered. This whole process took about half an hour after ordering so we sat there with nothing just waiting for drinks for 30 minutes. The coke we ordered instead of the 0.0 beer was only brought after asking again and having to wait another 20 minutes.
The food was partly very good but the Schnitzel was just a cheap tasting frozen one that you can serve as a kids dish but not as a regular one for this price. The ordered Risotto came as Orzo and after asking why, we were told that the waiter decided to bring us something different than we ordered cause he thought it was a better choice.
All of this I could have lived with if they had just once apologized.
I insisted in not paying the 0.0% beer they billed us although we didn’t accept it. After that the waiter had to go inside to the guy in charge and pay up for the difference. This is not acceptable and I am not supporting any restaurant that can’t get its stuff together and making the staff pay for it!
Maybe think of adding one or two waiters during busy hours. That would have solved almost every problem we had.
Maybe the reliability is better when going there during daytime with less...
Read moreThe restaurant was recommended to us by a friend, but unfortunately, we weren't impressed. We waited around 15–20 minutes just to place our order, even though we had already closed the menus and were clearly ready. We called over several waiters, and each time we were told that 'our waiter' would come in 2–3 minutes — but the wait dragged on. The food arrived relatively quickly after ordering, but I noticed that none of the seafood dishes came with lemon slices, which is quite typical and really adds to the flavor. The calamari and octopus were tasty, as was the mussel risotto, but a touch of lemon would’ve made them perfect.
The bread wasn’t good — it was a bit dry. And the Greek salad was served warm, which suggests the ingredients weren’t stored in a fridge. I don’t think anyone wants to eat warm tomatoes, cucumbers, and feta cheese on a hot summer evening.
When we asked for the bill, they handed it to us and told us we had to go inside to pay by card. Without telling us, an extra €14 had been added to the total on the printed bill. I’m not sure if it was a service charge or if they simply added a tip themselves, but either way, I believe such charges should be clearly stated on the...
