Para Thin Alos — Restaurant in Kassandra Municipality

This cosy little gyros place has the perfect location and setting. From beach front dining to out the back picnic style table and chairs dining. Friendly staff with lovely smiles and quick service. We chose to be tucked away around the back away from the hustle and bustle of the foot traffic and we were tempted by the nicely kept lawn area. The service was great with a young female waiter attending to our table as soon as we sat down. I was looking forward to a high quality gyros after reading other reviews but unfortunately it was just average. Now I’ve had plenty of gyros in my travels around Greece over several years so I know what to look for. I like to look forward to a hot pita straight of the grill plate, fresh hot fries straight from the frier. Salad and tzatiki inside to be cold from the fridge and the gyros meat to be hot after being freshly carved off. However, the pita was soggy, the fries inside were from an old batch and the salad inside was room temperature. I wished I experienced how it should have been but unfortunately that wasn’t...

1: ABSOLUTE TERRIBLE SERVICE 0/10

The girls working the tills are dangerous to be in hospitality, too much “ego” to admit they took the order wrong, and nothing done to make up for it. We ended up with 5 wrong souvlakis, 1 plate order that never came to our table and the whole attitude of everyone was sub 0. I get that’s it fast food, but that’s just sickening. It’s a place on a holiday destination, and they don’t go with the vibe.

2: Food is sufferable, they have put together every fat bit they can find and if you are lucky and they get the order right it’s “fine”.

Grabbed a bite from this place about 2 weeks ago. It seemed the busiest joint around at the time and we did wait a little bit for our order to be taken and delivered, but that was understandable. The food we tried was enjoyable, for some reason the tomatoes in the Greek Salad were of the tastiest i've ever had, whilst everything else was quite tasty and fresh as well. Our main concern was the fact that the store, although had limited menu, still didn't have everything listed. We had almost no other choice, even though we wanted to try some of the rest of their food. Still, this is good quality of food for the price paid and a recommendation...
