Taverna Litsa — Restaurant in Lamia Municipality

We spent excellent day in Mountain looking for the Iron Throne and I must say I hadn't had such nice time in nature since I was a kid!! After a 3h walk over the whole beautiful mountain we were really hungry 😋, as it was getting late and we came from Athens (3h drive +-) we looked to find somewhere close something to eat!! After driving in village we saw this beautiful mountain tavern and we decided to try it! Waiter site us down and served in 5min, food was out in 10 min super fast but most importantly the food was sooo tasty and fresh we were so hungry that I forgot to take a photo, we just attacked the food!! We had slowly cooked beef and rice what was super tender and delicious, lamb chops what was probably the best lamb I had (grilled on charcoal 😋) and a grilled pork steak!! 10/10 and all of that for only 38€ 😳!!! Very rude and unprofessional attitude; we approached as a group of four to ask for a table and a young lady from the establishment, said quote We won’t serve you! unquote without even looking towards us. We were astonishingly disappointed by this behavior and yet, we thought we might misunderstood or misheard something, so we gave it another go by actually asking for a table (the initial statement of the young lady was out of the blue, without any of us having talked to or looked at her). The response after our question “Hello! Is there any available table for four?” was “No! There is no table at the moment and because there is a lot going on, please leave me in peace”. Highly recommended! Everything we ordered was absolutely fantastic, handmade, and delicious - flourishing with traditional taste (French fries and Cheese bread is A MUST!). Ms Ioulia/Litsa who owns the place was always there caring about her customers, asking them if everything is okay; Thodoris her nephew who was taking care of the service had a unique flow of work in the entire place (which was full of customers). Super fast, always with a smile, engaging us in the process and making us feel that our happiness matters. If there was an Oscar for service probably he is our winner (and we have considered all places we’ve ever eaten at three different continents!)
