Dimitris Tavern — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

Bad, bad, bad place. I don't know where to start... Let's start with the fact that nobody forces you to eat at a restaurant, so it's a choice, and clearly the first mistake was ours. With that said, since you're on vacation (or not) eating outside should be a pleasant experience, from the service, to the food. You won't find neither of that here. We arrived at 21.15, the place wasn't full, but there was just one guy serving, so it could be comprehensive somehow that you may wait a little longer to be served. Well, we sat down, and wait at least 20 min to have a menu...should be the first thing, but hey.. be patient right? At 22 pm a group of greek girls sat down near us: in almost 5/10 mins they had menus, and get ordered with so much attentions from Dimitri. Well, they finally got our order, without any attention seen before, on the contrary Dimitri seemed annoyed by us and took the order with no care at all. 22.15 the girls near us were already eating their meals. The waiter brought us the bread saying that underneath there was butter... Come on, guys.. butter? All the other clients got tzatsiki, but whatever... 22.28 our souvlaki arrived.. mine was disgustingly cold, and hard. We ordered wine, it never came, we had to call the waiter who was clearly avoiding us. Girls next us got fruit, we were completely ignored. Only positive thing, prices are really low. Dimitri and his staff never apologized to us....

The two of us thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Dimitri’s taverna. The beautiful setting and exceptionally friendly service made it a fantastic experience.

When we mentioned that we would love to return for dinner, we were pleasantly surprised to be offered a boat pickup from our hotel the following evening. What a special and luxurious service!

The next day, we only had to make a quick call, and Dimitri personally arrived with his beautiful speedboat right at the jetty by our hotel. During the roughly ten-minute ride, we enjoyed the sunshine and the views over the water.

Upon arrival at the charming taverna, we were warmly welcomed by Dimitri’s daughters. We enjoyed a delicious Mediterranean dinner while the sun slowly set behind the mountains – a lovely moment.

Afterwards, Dimitri safely brought us back to our hotel by boat in the dark. What a unique experience and incredible hospitality! We highly recommend Dimitri’s taverna...

We were 4 people, there were not too many clients inside…instead they were just a few… they brought 1 dish wrong and I had to wait 1 hour long for my dish to arrive… and then it was wrong and with meat inside ( I am vegetarian) , I had to move the ingredients inside to be sure; then after 15 minutes they brought to me the right one. When the bill arrived they wanted me to pay the wrong dish cause it wasn’t 100% composed but I moved of course the pieces inside to be sure it was wrong, they told me it was my fault and that I had to pay, I refuse and I explained to them my point of view, after many comments from their side they accepted and after many other inconveniences regarding the bill ( all in Greek) we left. The food is pretty good but they need to be more polite and pleasing regarding...
