TAVERNA BELOS — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

Absolutely amazing place! I can not express how likable this place is. As the island is still recovering from depopulation, the amount of people here is rather low causing it to be abnormally calm. We arrived rather late at about 18:00 hours and had no trouble finding a good spot to moor the boat. We had a nice stroll around before having a great meal here. The waiter is a great guy with a great sense of humour. I recommend coming in late, as by this time it will be calmer and the staff will be more relaxed. I had som lamb with lemon sauce. I understood that this was a special today, but if you have the chance to taste this, I highly recommend it. The sauce was thick and rich in taste, and the meat was succulent and fell right off the bone. I also had a serving of calamari as an appetizer, though this is not on the menu. AVOId AT ALL COSTS!!! The worst meal not just in grease but in my life. It took 1 and a half hours to get the food which was then ALL cold!!!! The spaghetti bollagnaise was just pasta and mince meat, no sause, seasoning or veg at all. Just tinned meat and cold pasta. The pasta neopolitan was cold tinned sause and cold pasta. The chicken schnitzel and chips was just that frozen chicken and chips warmed up and then let go cold before being served. Please...

We went here for lunch. They were having a small function and we were invited in and sat down....we waited about 20 minutes and then a younger guy came over and said they wouldn't be able to serve us because they were very busy. we asked where else to go and he said he couldn't recommend anywhere else and probably best for us to go and eat on our boat. He was rude and offhand. We went to another taverna that was excellent. Certainly won't go...
