Taverna Gialos Porto Atheras — Restaurant in Lixouri Municipality

We will give it 3 starts because we acknowledge that the restaurant has incredible views over Atheras beach and it is super pleasant to have a meal with such landscape in front of you (most of the meals have acceptable prices given this location). However, we were pretty disappointed with the service received. Firstly, some members of the staff are very rude and won’t even smile at you. Then, we saw the cook in the kitchen smoking tobacco while cooking. The dishes we ordered were also disappointing. Almost all the fish dishes they offer are not fresh, and 16€ for frozen octopus without even a bit of salad accompanying it… the portions for the calamari and octopus we ordered were extremely small. The worst part, though, was the Greek salad (it was evident that it had been prepared in advance a few hours ago, it was not fresh, they even forgot a piece of plastic proving it!). Overall, it’s nice to eat here considering the views but don’t expect to eat...

This was the worst restaurant we tried to eat so far in the island. First We couldn't eat because it was full of wasps. Everybody was rushing to go because we were under attack. The food was too salty and very average. We paid 95 euro for two adults and two small kids. A medium seabream was 28 euro and a small plate of shrimp spaghetti was 18 euro and it wasn't even nice. This is ridiculous. The owner was rude. I heard other Greek customers complaining about the food and she was humiliating them. It is only for tourists not for Greeks. I would avoid.This is not a typical greek tavern it is an insult to the real...

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem schönen und leckerem Restaurant, nach diesen Bewertungen zu urteilen ist die Taverna Gialos eine großartige Empfehlung und wir fuhren dort hin. Als wir ankamen sah alles sehr niedlich aus...doch schon bald wendete es sich zum schlechteren. Wir wurden nicht richtig begrüßt, da die Bedienung kaum und sehr sehr leise geredet hat. Nach dem wir uns die Karte angesehen und als Vorspeise Grilled Feta Cheese, Hauptspeise einmal Spaghetti mit Shrimps und grilled oktopus und White wine bestellt hatten, kam nach kurzer Zeit schon die Vospeise und dazu ein Körbchen brot. Auch kurz danach kamen die 2 Hauptspeisen an. Der grilled Oktopus waren dann nur 2 oktopus arme total verbrannt und gummig, dazu gab es grob verteilt zwiebelringe, das ganze soll angeblich 13 Euro wert sein!! Wir gaben den Oktopus gleich zurück und wendeten uns den nudeln zu. Die waren eher kalt, verwürzt und die garnelen waren nicht richtig zubereitet. Der Wein war auch nicht lecker. Das einzige was gut war war die Vorspeise, doch bei der lässt sich nicht viel falsch machen. Am Ende als wir die rechnung bekamen passte ein Betrag nicht zu unsere Bestellung und es stellte sich heraus das sie ohne zu sagen für den Service, der unhöflich war, geld verlangen. Im Großen und Ganzen ein totaler reinfall und definitiv keine fast 5 Sterne wert!!! Keine...
