Surprised at some of these reviews, so let me correct/adjust some views posted here. In Greece, and elsewhere, if you use the mooring wall/pontoon belonging to the restaurant, you are expected to and are agreeing to eat there. People, read the guides!!. If Babis is full, or has taken reservations, he will wave you off, but the bay is a good anchorage. If its high season, or people are heading to port for weather, give them a call and book ahead. We all have the internet and a phone. Use them!! OK, for those people still reading, and know how to sail... Babis pontoons are excellent. Water, electric, lazy lines, showers, and staff always on hand to help you in. Its a good choice. There is some chop if the breeze is from the north of west, but it settles down. The restaurant is a terrific beach bar taverna. Plenty of tables out onto the sand/shingle, and a lovely view. Beer / swim / back for your beer is an ideal 10 steps. The food is good and hearty traditional greek family fare. If you want haute cuisine, go to a city, not a taverna. There is no menu, you choose what you see. The cost is reasonable. If you choose the fish, agree the price in advance, it will be excellent, but not cheap, as true anywhere in Greece. Babis works out a price in his head, and it is always reasonable. If he rounds up or down by 5 Euros, I dont feel ripped off, and we come back twice each year, and...

Bibi, I think was the hosts name ? a great giant of a man, he calls (very loudly) your boat in from the shore especially if its a 43' with 8 crew!!! First time we had done a Mediterranean mooring on a Lazy Line and he was brilliant at helping us. So thanks for that. Moorings which include fresh water and electric are free if you use the spacious Taverna (of course) a no brainer! there are good showers etc.,

The dinning is great excellent, Bibi takes you up to his chiller display so you can select your starters and mains (display of meat, fish etc., including rib-eye and T-bone steaks) only seen this done in England at very expensive/great restaurants. Fabulous.

The taverna is right next to the shore and is quite large with a well stocked bar. It's less an ancient, cosy, romantic Greek Taveran more of a modern restaurant on the beach.

To work up an appetite for dinner, we recommend that you climb the long flights of steps up to the village where there is a large balcony with stunning views of the Ioniain sea (attached).

Our party had a wonderful evening there and the bill was...

We were a bit disappointed to be placed right next to the main ferry by the berthing master, who also owns the taverna, especially when spaces were available on the pontoons right outside of the taverna. So every hour we had queues of traffic and people right outside our boat and a huge ferry rocking up. The food was average at best, no frills, so for an average cost the souvlaki consisted of one skewer, a handful of chips and a spoonful of coleslaw. We were hungry when we left the taverna. The service was pretty fast, but then it wasn’t that busy. Disappointing, but the location is beautiful, the owner needs to focus more on customer experience, quality and value for money.

Our first stop on our sailing voyage. The port is a small port with private moorings with free power and water - no mooring fees and free facilities as long as you eat at the restaurant. As it was near the end of the season a full menu was not available, however you could still choose from and extensive range of grilled food and appetizers. The location is what made the restaurant, the water was clear, blue and warm. A slightly strenuous walk up to the town for provision (money - as a number of services will only take cash) takes you to a quaint cafe and amazing views. I would thoroughly recommend a stop here

Really bad, expensive food and very rude service. "Grilled shrimp" was not grilled, but boiled and tasteless, with too much salt, brought semi-cold. And most other dishes, were just plain bad. Extremely rude staff, that were willing to pick a fight. Didn't pick up the used dishes, letting them pile. No care at all given to the food, or the service. This place is more of a crappy food production line for yachts and sailboats, that's only interested in making money without offering any value.
