"1055" - Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Acharnes

The 1055 restaurant gets its name from the height (1055m) it is built on. It has a nice buffet, with a good variety of foods (that always include salads, various meats, cheeses, pasta and at least one seafood dish and one soup) and a great variety of sweets. The staff is very helpful and polite.

While the buffet is nice and with good variety as I mentioned, spending 19 euros/person (which includes water and one drink, alcoholic or not) is not worth it, especially the dinner buffet. It is better to use points you get from the casino to eat here. You won't have enough free points the first time you visit, but, after your second visit, you'll start accumulating free points for about 6 visits (you can also use your points for more people).

There is a daily dinner buffet and also a brunch buffet on weekends and holidays. In my opinion, the brunch buffet has better value for money. It has less cooked food and more fast food, but it is still very tasty and offers a more enjoyable experience.

On some occasions, live events with music or special menus will be held here. Be mindful that the buffet might cost more (in euros or points) on these days.

Also, be prepared to wait for a long queue during peak hours, especially at the weekends, when the brunch buffet gets crowded, as more families visit mt. Parnitha. The secret is to visit as early as possible, preferably around the time they open.

Make sure you take a walk in the restaurant's yard after your meal to get some fresh air and enjoy the spectacular view of mt....

Unique place among all the restaurants you can visit in and around Athens. Definitely worth the view from the top, before or after dark. Αρχικά ο χώρος του εστιατορίου δεν μου άρεσε καθόλου καθώς μου θύμιζε το εστιατόριο πλοίου της anek lines. Δεν έχω άποψη για τη θέα διότι τη μέρα που πήγα είχε ομίχλη και δε φαινόταν τίποτα από τη μεγάλη τζαμαρία που υπάρχει. Όσο αναφορά τα φαγητά, πήραμε μια σαλάτα caprese η οποία ήταν αδιάφορη γευστικά. Σαν κυρίως πιάτο επιλέξαμε το μπιφτέκι με λαχανικά και πατάτες. Μπορώ να πώ πως όταν μου το σερβίραν ήταν κρύο και η σάλτσα που είχε από πάνω απλα ήταν κακής ποιότητας. Σαν ποτό επέλεξα να πάρω το προτεινόμενο κράσι του καταλόγου το οποίο ήταν αφρόδες. Ήπια μια γουλία και το άφησα, ήταν πολυ Β ποιότητας. Τέλος, τα ποιο ωραία πιάτα της βραδίας ήταν τα γλυκά. Επέλεξα ένα lemon pie το οποίο ήταν αρκέτα γευστικό. Τα επιδόρπια ηταν σαφώς ανώτερα και έτσι ξεχώρησαν από το υπόλοιπο μέτριος...
