Restaurant Panorama — Restaurant in Municipality of Aegina

As we were driving around the island, we decided to stop for lunch. Seeing the good reviews, we sought out this restaurant (not to be confused with "Panorama Restaurant" on another part of the island). Tucked away in a small side street, this restaurant was worth the effort to find. From the bread, which was by far the best we have had on Aegina, to the appetizers, entrees and personal, friendly service of the owner and his family, this is exactly the kind of authentic and excellent experience every traveler is looking for. And the prices were very reasonable.

I love this place. The owner is this very cool, laid back (but on his game) host who makes you feel right at home here. The food is excellent, we had some veg starters for my partner, feta cheese with honey, and I had a Greek sausage. My partner and I, even after 7 years, have no problem engaging in a meaningful chat over our food. But, during this one, the only words you heard us mutter were "hmm", and "nam!". we had the beef in tomato and it was delicious. I would have liked a little more beef, for it to be hot and not served on chips. However, 'with potatatos' always seems to mean chips on the Island, so this is not a Panorama only issue for me. It was unfortunate that the 2 dishes we wanted were not available as we have heard they do them well - the meatballs and the lamb with lemon sauce.
