Almiriki Restaurant - Αλμυρίκι Εστιατόριο — Restaurant in Municipality of Aigialeia

This is actually my first bad review, and I'm not quite happy to have to write it either, but our stay at the Αλμυρίκι was just so dissatisfactory that I had to share my experience. About three weeks ago, having read all the positive reviews for the tavern in question, my girlfriend and I decided to spend our evening there. I don't know whether all of the staff just had a bad day or didn't like us for some unbeknownst reason but we were treated in a most improper way. Unlike the service, the food was good and the view of sea and mountainside gorgeous, and I considered for a while if I could really rate the Αλμυρίκι as bad as I do now, but in the end I decided that it was justified and here's why: While I usually consider the food to be the most important thing when eating at a restaurant, a nice, friendly atmosphere, the feeling of being welcome and simply having a good time are - of course - even more crucial. And we didn't feel welcome at all. The fact that our drinks were forgotten is excusable because these things do happen, wanting us to pay for them although we didn't get them is however not acceptable, and not even apologising for it is simply rude. But what really made it an unpleasant experience is how the waiters treated us. While we saw them laughing and conversing heartily at other tables or with each other, they hardly spoke to us at all. A slightly annoyed look on the first waiter's face gave us to understand that we could order, what we said was met with no eye contact and merely a nod of the head. Other waiters came, wordlessly putting plates on our table. Being treated in a completely different manner than everyone else in the tavern really ruined the time we spent at the Αλμυρίκι. Out of courtesy we still tipped properly, which wasn't really met with a reaction either, and left. I was pretty angry, as this is simply no way of treating guests, whether they're tourists or not, especially considering how heartily we had been greeted and treated literally everywhere else in...

ΚΑΙ ΝΑ ΑΠΑΝΤΗΣΩ ΣΤΗΝ ΑΠΑΝΤΗΣΗ ΣΑΣ ΓΙΑ ΑΥΤΟ ΕΠΕΙΔΗ ΣΥΝΕΧΙΖΕΤΑΙ ΝΑ ΜΗΝ ΕΙΣΤΕ ΕΠΑΓΓΕΛΜΑΤΙΑΣ ΜΕΤΑ ΘΑ ΛΕΤΕ ΤΙ ΝΑ ΦΤΑΙΕΙ ΠΟΥ ΣΙΓΑ ΣΙΓΑ ΔΕΝ ΘΑ ΕΧΕΤΕ ΔΟΥΛΕΙΑ ΧΩΡΟΣ ΥΠΗΡΧΕ ΚΑΙ ΦΥΣΙΚΑ ΔΕΝ ΘΑ ΕΚΛΕΙΝΑ ΤΟ ΠΕΡΑΣΜΑ ΝΑ ΚΟΙΤΑΞΕΤΕ ΤΗΝ ΣΥΜΠΕΡΙΦΟΡΑ ΣΑΣ ΚΑΙ ΝΑ ΜΗΝ ΓΡΑΦΕΤΕ ΑΠΛΑ ΓΙΑ ΝΑ ΓΡΑΦΕΤΕ ΤΥΧΟΝ ΚΕΡΔΙΖΟΝΤΑΣ ΕΝΤΥΠΩΣΕΙΣ ΑΠΛΑ ΗΣΑΣΤΑΝ ΤΕΛΕΙΩΣ ΑΝΑΡΜΟΣΤΟΣ !!!! ΚΑΙ ΕΝΝΟΕΙΤΑΙ ΟΥΤΕ ΘΑ ΞΑΝΑ ΠΑΤΗΣΟΥΜΕ ΣΤΟ ΜΑΓΑΖΙ ΣΑΣ !!!!!...

Excellent place for a quick bite. We’ve had waiters in Greece that were a bit more friendly, but we’ll give her a pass. Maybe she’s had a long summer season. Tables right on the waterfront. Affordable dishes and very tasteful. Drinks prices are a bit more touristy, but €3 for a Coca Cola is acceptabel when you can order a massive chicken schnitzel for €9. Food was great.
