It felt like a typical touristy spot where they cart bus loads of tourists through. I’m sure in Summer the place is packed with visitors. The food was ok but nothing special. From all the meals we’ve had on Crete this was the most disappointing. The lamb was very poor quality even though we were told that it’s from the area. The best dish was the fried saganaki cheese (homemade). The service was fine, quick and attentive but in terms of overall ambience with the quality of food, don’t expect too much.

You come back from Sfendoni's Cave? A bit disappointed by the short visit between the few stalagmites and stalagtites? Ok then. Hop in your car, head to Anogeia and stop by Arodamos. And... oh Gosh! You'll find very genuine cretan food (you'll learn what cretan diet means) so tasteful and generous. And the owners are the kindest people you could meet. You're about to enjoy the best moment of your stay in Crete! PS: ask Alexandro to explain the finger trick on the picture 😉

I have not got a single bad word to say about this resteraunt. The family that run it were so welcoming and made us feel part of the family. The food was fantastic and was all prepared fresh. One thing that spoke volumes to me was that a lot of the artwork displayed there had been done by customers to show there appreciation for the familys hospitality. 11 out of 10 in every respect

What a wonderful place this is! The moment we arrived we were treated like family. And this continued for the entire visit. Taken into the back to see the meat cooking, then into the kitchen to see the day's special roasting.

Traditional home cooked food, which was fantastic. Great options for vegetarians too.

Grapes from their veranda were being harvested on the day we visited, and we were given a bunch to take with us as well. Delicious. These were being taken to make the next batch of their own wine - of which a complimentary shot was served to us after the meal. Lovely. We subsequently bought a few bottles to take home as well. The small bottles make a great gift. 😉

Complimentary dessert was served after the meal as well. Also delectable.

The entire family was involved in making this a magical visit, and we would certainly come back again if returning to the area.

Tasty food, lovely people, great views. A must visit. One of the highlights of our...

Worth it ,to go there and relax. The best restaurant I ate in Crete and omg😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲 what a cheese-feta and yogurt. He told Mr.alekos that he prepares it himself the taste of the yogurt deep that he offer is fantastic and 4sure you will remember it for a long time.the Anogia spaghetti and sigklino omelette thought were average but the anticristo was superb.Go there to check his dairy products the taste is absolute!!!The hospitality and management is one of a kind as he offered us and treated us for free "raki - koniak - tea & sweat patsavouropita" yeah all this was for free. You can find parking easily just adjacent to the restaurant.Value for money for sure 5 stars as the price was honest for the food we ate.i am going to say again go there to eat his dairy...

Tips at the end: amazing food, cool style of ordering where they give you the menu a piece of paper and pen and you have to fill out what you want and their the waiter doesn't have to wait for you to talk about it. Most staff don't speak English but they want to please so eventually your needs are conveyed. Bathrooms are super clean and they have really cool upstairs display about weaving wool , for example. Even our picky little eaters found something to enjoy, like french fries with cheese or baked potato with sour cream, omelette with cheese, etc ... Grown-ups loved the lima bean and warm feta cheese. We are vegetarian as you can tell and there were plenty of options...
