What lovely meals we had at this restaurant. We were looking for some really authentic home cooked Crete food rather than eating in the tourist places and we weren’t disappointed. Maria makes delicious home cooked food in the kitchen using ingredients from their farm. There isn’t a menu as it depends what is available however there is always so much choice. The prices are also so reasonable for such a great experience. Each family member is so friendly and welcoming. We ate here twice during our stay in Crete and recommend this to anyone. Like your Mama's food, but better. I have never found anyone that would even dream of battling my Spanish Mom's cooking, ever. That is until I stumble onto Maria's place by chance. Food tastes homemade, because it is. It helps the product is all locally sourced. The atmosphere and service is really next level hospitality, family-only vibes. During our stay in Crete we’ve eaten here several times and each one of them have been a fantastic experience. The typical greek food is delicious, cooked with love by Maria and served with care by her family. The menu changes almost daily and the typical dishes are always made of fresh local ingredients. After the meal you’re greeted with shots of Raki offered by the staff, together with fresh fruits and a dessert.
