Taverna "ΟΝΗCIΜΟC" — Restaurant in Municipality of Archane - Asterousia

Firstly, the atmosphere was great which led to the view of the kitchen. Now this is where things get interesting. The chef is a typical Cretan mother, and it seems like she was cooking for her children. Such a beautiful and heartfelt and very warm vibe.

Now regarding the food in terms of timing, the food was quick, secondly there are some must tries. The first dish in which everybody should order is cheese stuffed peppers. They were amazing secondly, The wild greens with carrots and mushrooms is absolutely beautiful and it must be tried. Thirdly, the baked feta, in which, of course must be eaten with the bread. The eggplant was also great, but definitely does not compare to the previous three dishes mentioned.

This is an amazing restaurant-tavern in the vilage of Peza approximatelly 20mins from Heraklion. Starting from the staff, they are extremelly polite and helpful, keeping always in mind the customers satisfaction! The food is of Excellent quality and quantity! In the following pictures you can see a few dishes that we selected, which had an amazing taste! The restaurant owner was insisting that we should not order so many plates, because we would not be able to eat them all, but we did not listen. As a result we only managed to eat 50% of the food. Just awesome. Was a bit worried about it being quite out of the way but would come back in a heartbeat if I'm in the area again. We had a Greek salad, snails, lamb chops, and a bottle of white wine. All were amazing. Top quality ingredients expertly prepared.
