Vrachos Kanari — Restaurant in Municipality of Argos and Mykines

We had such a lovely lunch at Vrachos Kanari. For me, they served some of the best shrimp I've had in a long time around here. They came in a really wonderful sauce that was full of flavour. While the shrimp were a real highlight, honestly, everything we tried was delicious, right from the starters. The horiatiki salad was simple and very fresh, and there was a good choice of fresh fish as well. The service was also very pleasant and efficient, which just made the evening better. Amazing local sea food restaurant. The best we found during our travels in Greece this year! The tables outside offer a stunning view over the Argolic Gulf, facing Nafplio whose citadel is nicely illuminated at night. Kanakis serves mainly super fresh catch of the day. Friendly staff will show you the fridge and provide recommendations to help you make a perfect choice. Preparation is straight forward, the best way to appreciate truly fresh sea food. We liked the fresh kalamaris, the marinated anchovie, the pandora, the kokkalia and the red mullet but we are confident everything will be equally tasty. ΚΙΒΕΡΙ παραλία : «Ο βράχος του ΚΑΝΑΡΗ» ψαροταβέρνα. (αποκλειστικά : ψάρια & θαλασσινά) •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Υπάρχει η πρόθεση για καλή εξυπηρέτηση των πελατών της ψαροταβέρνας «Ο βράχος του ΚΑΝΑΡΗ» από τον ιδιοκτήτη και το προσωπικό του, αλλά μερικές φορές δεν μένεις ευχαριστημένος. Πρόκειται για μια οικογενειακή επιχείρηση που τώρα τελευταία ακρίβυνε το menu της. Οφείλω να αναγνωρίσω ότι διακρίνεις την καθαριότητα και την τάξη εξωτερικά και εσωτερικά της ταβέρνας.

Τοποθεσία —————- Ο εξωτερικός χώρος είναι υπερυψωμένος, οπότε όταν κάθεσαι για φαγητό στα τραπεζάκια της ψαροταβέρνας, σου δημιουργείτε η αίσθηση ότι είσαι πάνω σε καράβι. Το κύμα της θάλασσας σκάει στους βράχους ακριβώς κάτω από τα πόδια σου και μπροστά σου ξεδιπλώνεται η απέναντι ακτογραμμή, με θέα προς το Άργος, το Ναύπλιο, και την παραλία του Καραθώνα. Κι αυτά είναι που «πουλάει» η επιχείρηση.

Φαγητό ———— Γευτήκαμε σε ακριβούτσικες τιμές :

• Τα πρώτα πιάτα Χόρτα βλήτα με κολοκυθάκια, τηγανιτές πατάτες (σε καλό λάδι), γαύρο μαρινάτο (λίγο ακριβό γι’ αυτό που ήταν), σουπιά κοκκινιστή, χταποδάκι ξιδάτο.

• Κυρίως πιάτο Μπαρμπουνάκια και κουτσομούρες.

• Επιδόρπιο Φρούτα εποχής

Συνιστώ να την επισκεφτείτε, αλλά να παραγγείλετε με σύνεση αφού μελετήσετε τον τιμοκατάλογο.

Δεν ξέρω αν εσείς θα μείνετε ευχαριστημένοι, αλλά εγώ, ίσως να ξαναπάω γιατί μ’ αρέσει ο περιβάλλον χώρος και γι’ αυτό την έχω μέχρι τώρα επισκεφτεί...
