⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Taste of Greece – Absolutely Perfect!

We had an outstanding experience at this wonderful Greek restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the incredibly attentive and friendly staff. Their service was impeccable – always present when needed, yet never intrusive. You truly feel like a valued guest here.

The food was absolutely delicious – every dish was beautifully prepared, bursting with authentic flavors, and clearly made with care and passion. From the classic meze starters to the perfectly grilled souvlaki and the melt-in-your-mouth oven-baked lamb, everything was simply divine. The vegetarian options were just as impressive, fresh, and full of flavor.

What really stood out was how the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our preferences – genuine hospitality at its finest. The cozy and inviting atmosphere made the whole experience even more special, as if we had been transported to a charming seaside taverna in Greece.

We will definitely be coming back – this restaurant is a hidden gem and a must-visit for anyone who loves amazing food, exceptional service, and a little Greek magic in the heart...

This was easily the best dinner we had during our family holiday to Corfu. As a group of 12 adults with a new baby, we felt instantly welcomed and at home in the ‘garden’ section of the taverna.

We decided to just “be fed” rather than ordering individual meals, and the host was super warm and friendly - bringing out starters and main courses for us to pass round and share until we were full to bursting. As a family this is our favourite way to eat and some of us found it very hard to stop.

The food was delicious, all well explained to us and the perfect Greek comfort food. 3 of us were vegetarians and didn’t feel left out in the slightest. They got it spot on for us and we unfortunately didn’t get any photos because we were just so hungry & content that we forgot.

We honestly couldn’t recommend Taverna Elizabeth highly enough, the hosts were attentive, the food was fabulous and very reasonably priced, they were wonderful with the baby, and everyone was...

A must try restaurant once in Doukades or in the nearby area (including Paleokastriksta where no restaurants are open in early April). They make very good finger licking traditional homemade Greek dishes. First time as a starter I had the Saganaki which is basically fried cheese and it is too good to be true. For main I tried the Sofrito which is a very well cooked soft streak whit garlic sauce which just melted in my mouth. Also tried a traditional Greek desert with was nice with the apple and cinnamon. Second time (after walking here 4km from the Rovinia beach on a sunny day becuse this restaurant is soo good) I asked for the stuffed pepper with feta cheese wich is a light dish just perfect on a warm or hot day. Just in case had a Sofrito again. They have an elevated garden opposite the street which is just fabulous on a sunny day when one can sit among small trees and admire the view of the terrace of the adjacent house house which is fully decoy...

My wife and I ate here last night. We've been staying in Doukades for the past couple of weeks, and since it's winter, this restaurant has only been open on the weekends. We went out during the day for our usual adventures. When we returned to town there were a ton of cars and people. We figured perhaps there was a church service going on. Nope! Everyone was at Elizabeths, and now we know why. Hospitality, generosity, absolutely delicious food are just a few ways I'd explain this lovely Taverna in this beautiful mountain village. The owners are Dutch and are extremely nice people. The wife is an amazing cook and her husband is a wonderful host! Kuddos to all the other staff members as well that made us feel very welcome. We had lamb chops and stuffed grape leaves, fried cheese and some really good wine. You can't go wrong with anything on this menu. Definitely worth the adventure to this town for a fantastic meal. HIGHLY recommend!!!
